    I love this team. Love it, the defense is so fun, and having 2 superstars and a cast of really likable role players again is plain awesome.

    Portland is usually loud and rocking... Tonight we silenced them early and kept it there. So quiet, I can hear our own fans and the "Kuuzzz..." chants.

    Beating the Jazz and Denver on the road was sweet enough, then blowing out the Blazers on the road where over the years we have notoriously struggled is the cherry on top.

    Sure we there will be tough times at some point as it’s a long season, but right now this team is so easy to root for.

    I rewatched the second half last night and couldn’t help but thinking we have everything in this team that we always hoped for since our last championship run:
    • Top notch leader with championship experience;
    • Top notch skilled partner-in-crime to pair with the leader;
    • Team defense;
    • Perimeter defense;
    • Interior weak side defense;
    • 3pt shooters in the starting lineup and coming off the bench;
    • Strong bench to maintain or extend the lead;
    • Experienced and competent coaching staff.
    All of this with a contract flexible roster, no reliance on an immature talented draft pick, and a realistic hope of contending for a championship immediately. What’s most amazing is that this feels like it happened overnight as a backup plan. Much props to the Lakers front office.
