Played well but once again plagued with some foul trouble.

Not just with Marc, but I really don't like how we've been officiated the past 4 games. I know no fan is ever happy with the whistles, but I feel a lot of whistles have gotten swallowed or have been wildly inconsistent.

Marc played great D on Val. In this ugly mucked up game, it felt like a 90s/ early 00s game and we saw these two bigs battling a bit. Gave me a vague idea of how he'll look against Jokic for us.

Needs to drop 10 to 20 lbs: would really help just get his footspeed just a tad bit more.
Lebron has spoke about the need to drop weight as you get older to preserve your body

Thank you JSM, glad it’s not just me. Some terrible no calls especially last night.

Marc is solid in the post defense against big guys. No one can really move him - you can’t overpower him so you have to be quick and crafty. Should do well v the Joker if he’s not getting all these ticky tack calls.

We had a total of 11 FTs last night. 11. Harden gets that in one half.

    He's unplayable against stretch 5's.
Just so slow and it gets him in foul trouble.

Not having another true C makes it tough to move him out of the starting lineup though

He gets so many ticky tack fouls early on. It's really taking him out of the games.

Remember when Dwight tweeted that he was coming back? Good times. Good times.

in the playoffs, we'd just start AD at center and destroy what the spurs did. we're not interested in going 68-4, though.

and no, dwight howard wouldn't have changed the outcome in that game.

    at all.

Those first 2 fouls before they were done with the national anthem got him off to a rocky start and he never recovered.

Pop has a higher vert than Marc

Why is the ref wearing Reeboks? Shouldn't he be in Nike's gear?
As for Pop's vert... im not sure Marc had that much lift in his prime.

it would be nice to get home court and get the right combinations in. Right now Vogel is still experimenting so this is not really a complaint but I don't think he's figured how to maximize these guys yet.

Like I said he ran some cool lineups like AD/Lebron/THT/Caruso/Matthews so appreciate what he is trying to. A part of the issue is the front office has almost done too good of job. "Starvation while having plenty" as they have so many guys who deserve minutes.

right. there's a lot to sift through, and i'm not sure they want to invest in working on how to maximize gasol in the post against smaller defenders or how to hide him against 5-out lineups when they probably plan to simply not play him in those circumstances when the games count the most.
