As they noted in the LFR podcast, they put a bigger wing on him.

It nullified some of what we do offensively w/Monk.

I'm behind on my podcasts. I will check that one out.

    That definitely makes sense though.

He missed a lot of makeable shots yesterday: Memphis is a tough team on defense but just seemed he missed a lot of shots that were pretty good looks.

It hurt because in the second quarter really seemed we got a lot of good looks but then the Lakers missed Memphis just drilled every open shot on the other end

this is where the lou williams comparisons fall flat for me: put a bigger wing on lou to offset using him as a screener for lebron and vice versa, and you'd be terrified of the switch due to lou's ballhandling and shotmaking in isolation. teams wouldn't do it.

His defense has been bad: team are totally hunting him down.

Last few games have been like the GS game where Vogel had to throw in the towel and say no mas after poole was roasting him.

I think he's trying but his lack of size and just poor defensive instincts are making it hard: he should be a 6th man with Reaves starting. I would go with Dwight Lebron, Reaves, Johnson, and Russ to start. Really need to change this around and focus on the defense

YO!! Frank …. c’mon man, you know you want to and we’d be better for it …. give the rook a chance … he’s earned his stripes with the vets and everyone else has had a shot. Compared to Monk on defense he looks 6’7” out there and can play make and shoot the ball probably just as well.

i get starting monk. i'd like to see it with AD/dwight/lebron/reaves. make him the only defensive question mark and it's less noticeable, imo. same deal as melo.

Good bounce back game with the second unit. Had some beautiful drives off the dribble.

Yeah I thought he was great instant offense off the bench, 14 points on 50% shooting, even grabbed 7 boards.

How about this kid... fits really well with everyone. Very smooth offensive game.

We need to keep him, he can be a really valuable piece for us for years if we get his bird rights.

He looks so much better paired with the young guys who have the legs to cover for him on defense and then the speed to actually let him get loose on offense

Had a nice stretch where the 3 ball was really cooking. 6 3s and 3rd most points in the game.

He’s got a great rapport with Reaves who he’s known a while. I love what Monk is bringing out there. Red hot shooting!
