i'll reserve judgment until i see who goes for the mini mle when it's all done. walker would have been an above-min, below-mle target for me. he is athletic, though, which folks wanted.

For what it's worth, he did start playing much better towards the second half of last season. 15.3 ppg, 44% from the field, 37% from 3 after the all star break

OR is the FO listening to their scouts and they see enough in Walker to check off important boxes they feel will improve under the new coaching staff?? he won't beat reaves out, and i don't think ham will hand him the spot, either. he's going to have to earn it. it's a one-year deal, too, folks. we're still posturing for FA next year with all these moves (i don't love it, but maybe they know what they're doing).
But why give HIM all that money then over someone Bigger with as much apparently mediocre skills and not playing Reaves’s probably best position, who plays for far less money?
