Assuming he checks out physically AND mentally, he's a worthwhile addition for any team.

I bet Moz is thrilled to hear that news. Hope he's got a nice wardrobe.

He'd be especially helpful to a team that cannot protect the rim. His fit is still... confusing. Zubac doesn't need more competition.

If we traded Black and/or Mozgov I could see it.

We also would need to get rid of at least one person since we're at the limit right now.

Or Huertas or Calderon or Metta or Mozgov or Deng. Anyone who is absolutely not part of our future plans.

Or say we make a minor trade like Nick out for a pick. That'd free a spot.

We will need added depth when we start making moves. E.g., Randle.

I'm all for it, but last I heard, Sanders didn't sound like he had much ambition for the NBA

Wishful thinking has us trading Moz to make room.

Black is easy trade bait. Serviceable big who isn't old, isn't injury prone, isn't one with character issues, isn't undersized and isn't saddled with a bad contract. As for Moz, that the Lakers are even meeting with Sanders despite having so many frontcourt players as it is, tells us they are pretty much acting as if Moz isn't part of their future plans right now. On paper, I think Zubac + Sanders is a great tandem and freeing up a spot for Sanders is a great move. Be it trading Lou or Young or simply cutting TRob, who should catch on fairly easily with another team. If he signs with a playoff bound team, we'd be doing him a favor.

How bad have things gotten with Mosgov? It started with Backstage Lakers when they showed Mosgov guarding Deng in the post and all the coaches shaking their heads. Then it followed with Zubac taking over his minutes. Then Mosgov not getting any minutes. Now, the Lakers are resorting to talking to someone like Larry Sanders? Wow. I will hope for some miracle that Mitch can unload Mosgov. That might be his biggest deal if he did. After the Gasol deal of course.

I don't remember Larry being a bad player; I think he can possibly be a rotation big.

It was his mental makeup that was always in question.

My guess is they are just seeing whats up. Nothing to lose. However, Sanders is a basket case. I doubt his mental make-up will stand an NBA schedule.

He was a double double with two blocks the one season he played heavy minutes. He also F'd us up when Howard was on the team.

He had mental health issues, and I'll not mock anyone because of that. I wish him the best, first off; and if that includes playing in the NBA, good for him. If it includes his playing with us and doing well, let's go, Lakers!
