    exactly. he was the right coach to develop those young players but he wasn't going to be the guy to take them to the next level. GS fired him because they knew they needed to take advantage of curry being in his prime

    it's tempting to look back and think what if the lakers had hired lue or williams, but vogel was the best possible coach for that title team

    Whats funny about this is, I don’t give a f*** what LeBron would be enthused about. He was enthused about Westbrook. I don’t want him involved in the coaching search, or personnel moves, he won’t even be here past this season. Mark Jackson sucks, hell no to that.

    Regarding Nick Nurse, I don’t see any way we can get him. We have 2 draft picks to trade and we need those for roster moves, he’s locked him in Toronto. As far as Snyder, he was an assistant here before, I could see him being turned off by the Rambii incompetence.

    We sat down with him one time, apparently.

    I think we were also haggling with Lue.

    If we had been dead set on going after him and offering him the same money and autonomy as Phoenix, he would have been the next Lakers head coach.

    As usual (IMO), we botched it.

    We should stop with the retreads or the coaches who are under contract elsewhere. Instead we should look for someone new. Boston has done well in back to back hires bringing in untested young guys. Phoenix and Toronto did the same.
