Obviously he was too intelligent and honest for our front office.

Word on the street is the Clippers will hire him.

Yup the Chicken Littles are gonna make a big deal about this.

In the words of a wise man, I forget exactly who...but he was very wise... "If you grabbed 10 fans out of a bar and asked them to rate prospects, their opinions would be pretty much identical to those of the pro scouts."

So there you have it. This was coming so let's move on. I'm sure Ballmer is gonna give him a pay bump to come over after daddy landed 2 big fishies.

Ryan is cool, he ain't his pop, he's never hit a 60ft jumper to take a playoff game into OT. Ain't dogging him just trying to keep it in perspective. We will not be drafting much for the foreseeable future and I'm confidant in our remaining staff.

"Parted ways" does not explain why he left.

This is a bummer on an otherwise great summer. I disagree fans being as good as scouts. Maybe on top lotto picks but it takes real skill to find value in second round picks. Which will be what we have for years after giving away so many first rounders. Ryan will be missed and the Lakers missed an opportunity to keep talent.

Here's the moment Bron, AD and Kuz realized West was recruiting his son and they tried to block those talks, but them bloodlines is stronger.

Btw, Mr Rambis can probably confirm, but Jesse Buss is assistant GM to Rob and director of scouting. So Ryan exiting was really nothing to do with Jesse's position in case some thought it did. Of course if Ryan becomes a GM or am assistant GM somewhere, then that narrative obviously changes.

As for 2nd round picks Cook, we don't get any of those till 2023. So in a way our scouting/scouts are on standby if/when we gain back more draft capital.

What happened to what Dr. Buss said? "Hire the best people possible and move out of their way"?
I guess Kurt and Linda are "it".

So let me get this right...we had a Prez that left the team cause he wasn't allegedly putting enough work in (still a ridiculous narrative to me) and then 4 months later we have the kid of the wizard leave cause there isn't enough work.

So we got Rob, Kurt, Jesse and Joey running the majority of bball ops... who's taking up all the work? And why with such a limited platoon is it hard to delegate responsibility among them?

Sure seems that someone is trying to claim absolute power within those 4. Btw, has anybody seen Rich?

well this ******* sucks. honestly surprised he lasted as long as he did with the organization

west should've been promoted to AGM a while ago but i guess the only way you have any room for growth in the lakers FO is if you're a buss or rambis

Scout. Not a rumor. Replacing what West gave them and allowed to bring Chaz along.

    Paging @Mr. Rambis

Any insight into this? This sounds like your typical Ramona spin for Jeanie.
