I would agree with this for this season. I wouldn't sign Lebron for longer and I wouldn't trade any more draft picks away to make him happy. Russ sitting in street clothes is better than taking bad contracts back. Sign Ham or Cassell to coach, develop our young guys. See what AD and Lebron can do. We could be a dangerous team, the odds of either Lebron or AD being healthy are not good enough to risk the next five or six years. Looking at their time here the odds are greater they will neither be healthy than both be healthy. Without both healthy are chances aren't good but I do think we will have a much better season. The other thing that concerns me is Lebron's main goal appears to be catching Kareem not a championship.

i don't think you can plan longer than three years in the modern nba, tbh. just too many variables. and i don't think we have a ton of major shake up options in the next couple years.

The 2020 and 2021 offseason he has asked for lesser responsibilities in orchestrating the offense and ball handling and we have tried to appease him with the Schroder and Westbrook trade. Both times Lebron ends up controlling and dominating the ball anyways. Whats the point of making those moves if you dony properly utilize the guys you brought in.

On top of that it drained the team of multiple first round picks (hence young players) and robbed the team of cap flexibility.

There is a huge discrepancy between what he wants (& he says) and his actions. He doesn't know what he wants. He needs to let Rob do his job and stop LeGMing. He can recruit when needed.

fair points, and i've been on that side basically his whole career. where was maxey drafted? think our scouts--given two chances--couldn't have hit on something like that?

For these reasons, I hope Bronny gets drafted elsewhere because Bronny Sr. Is done leading squads to Championships.

You can't kill chemistry when your big 3 is only playing 21 games together. It just doesn't work like that in the NBA. There was no chemistry or team cohesion because the "team" was never together. If Lebron and AD played in 21 games in that bubble season, we wouldn't have a championship.

Bryce is probably going to be the one, he's 15 and has already caught up to Bronny in height. I can't say Lebron is done without seeing him lose with a full squad. If AD was rocking 80 plus games and the playoffs, and we lost, a better assessment on the situation could be made. AD was brought in to extend Lebron's career, but he’s actually played in fewer games than James since we made that trade.

Chances of the Lakers signing of Kyrie or trading for him while Lebron is here just went to 0

If we don't start out hot, I would look to trade him by midseason and see what we can get for him.

Lakers are not in the business of winning. It’s about putting butts in seats. We’re stuck with LeBron unless he wants out
