yes no one can guard him down low but he’d rather hoist 25 footers.

Well the good news is that his left foot has been the one bothering him this year. He stepped on Powell's foot and hurt his right one today. Hopefully it is minor.

Where is this nonsense about Lebron not having a post game coming from? He's been hurt: the power spin move which is maybe his most signature move is completely gone from his arsenal.

Didn’t say he did not have post game. I said it’s not polished. He’s had sporadic moments of dominance in the past. He’s big, strong and athletic and has adequate post skills. But he’s nowhere near highly skilled in his post moves.

At this point he’s played too long not to eventually show too much wear. His body is battling hard right now. He’s pushing through. Lakers need Dlo back. Seems like the only time Lebron plays less minutes is the few games he and Dlo played together.

Aesthetics over everything argument again: he does have an incredibly skilled post game but it's not as pretty as Hakeem/Mchale but what he adds is that he's one of the great passers out of any position including the low post, mid post, FT line that's played the game.

Totally agree about his passing from the post. That’s why I’d like to see him there more. But I disagree about his post skills. He’s pretty limited in terms of actual moves, not just that they are uglier than McHale or Hakeem. He has bully ball towards the middle and a baseline fade away almost always over his right shoulder. He showed a real nice up and under today though.
Edit: he has a left shoulder fade away too, but he favors the right. And he has that wrong foot Dirk fade away too. I never feel confident with him shooting any of his fade aways. His footwork is terrible. I wonder what his fg% is on fade aways?

He's got a couple go-to post moves and it may look fugly but I think his footwork is adequate. It really doesn't matter if no one can stop it.

those step throughs were fantastic and had me wondering why on god's green earth he's shooting so many threes when we can operate with him from that midpost area to devastating effect.

bring the double from AD's man. i dare you. that means the double has to come from a perimeter player, and now we can put guys on the floor that can make you pay for that.

with certain lineups, we can play an old school high low post offense with him and AD that would be pretty nightmarish to defend, imo.

"Heard a pop" scared the s*** out of me but then he went on to finish the game taking advantage of smaller defenders. We can't afford to rest him down the stretch but we need to. Hope we're strategic about it. Rest him every game not against a team we're trying to pass in the standings.

My thoughts as well. Likely is. Able to play the rest of the game but looked ungainly. No crutches though but walked with a limp afterwards.

No way it's his Achilles. LeBron was grabbing at his foot and high ankle.

I knew Kobe was done the moment it happened because he immediately grabbed at his Achilles. And we all saw how gingerly (if also heroically) he walked off the court. You can't tighten your laces and play another 20 minutes of professional basketball after rupturing your Achilles tendon. You just can't. I don't care who you are.

    i love this lady forever.

be curious to see what lebron's injury was. i didn't think his ankle twisted, so i was thinking it was the foot itself. the move wasn't particularly violent, nor was there extra load in the form of another body on top of his leg at the time of the injury. sort of an old guy injury, i guess. like i started getting that forced me into my own personal semi-retirement.
