Goes to show how overinflated stats are in this era. Booker’s 70 is another one.

booker's 70 was ridiculous. like ricky davis's triple double, it showed more about who the guy was in a negative way than a positive one.

Yep. Bob Sura did something similar. I’m just so unimpressed and jaded/dismissive of most modern stats. When really good, but not once in a generation players are putting up ungodly Hof numbers, something is wrong. Westbrooks and Hardens triple doubles, or 80% of Hardens scoring, period, are so bogus.

He's been one of the best players of an awful Detroit team, specially with Grant missing so much time. It's weird you don't know who he is if you follow the sport

When life gets super busy, sometimes following your favorite sport means only your favorite team. Since our favorite team has been basically unwatchable, it’s easy to be out of touch with players on other teams.

Yeah. I used to be able to follow every single team, name every team's coach, probably name every teams top 8-9 players. This season I have turned on Laker games and had no idea we signed some new kid to a 10 day contract until he steps on the court. I'm like, "Who is this guy? When did we sign him? Did someone else on the Lakers die or something?"

I think NBA players are just more skilled shooters than they’ve ever been. Yeah defense isn’t what it was at times, but players are still bigger, stronger, and faster than probably ever, and you still have to make the shots, open or not. A lot of these were contested

Practice evolved immensely. There's a lot of data, knowledge sharing and detail training that for sure influences the improvement of shooting

Yeah that was some sick shooting. Mad credit to these modern players and their shooting skills. I just personally don’t find the modern strategy of “shoot a ton of 3s and whoever’s hotter wins” to be an appealing product.

I have more respect for old school, multi-dimensional players putting up big numbers from long range+midrange+fadeaways+post moves+sick acrobatic layups/dunks+sick handles, splitting a double team, etc. than I do for a 1 dimensional player getting hot from 3. (Not speaking about Bey, just speaking in general about modern stats).

The universe was like “Hey Laker fans, did the Lebron 50 pieces give you some small solace during this terrible season? LOL, let me snatch that joy and show you why that wasn’t even that impressive!”

Apparently Lebron was talking trash from the sidelines at the end of the T’Wolves game, suggesting that KAT was only in the game to pad his stats.

    Kinda ironic…
