KCP had a LOT of stretches like this too though. I’ve liked some of what I’ve seen from Baze. He’ll improve.

Amazing what happens when a guy who can't shoot or contribute in other ways is sat down.

Kent is probably heading for a lot of DNP's and garbage minutes.

I think he'll break out of it, but right now he might as well sit and rest. Maybe he has an injury or maybe he's fatigued from being asked to do too much. With Ellington and THT playing as well as they are, K9 can wear street clothes and recalibrate.

He's not Superman by golly, he's Kent.

i said a couple days ago he looked like he might be playing with some injury. he was quite good in the preseason and early on, imo.

but yes, this is when it's nice to have 11 sgs.

The human white flag. When I see him on the court I know it's over.

Thought he had a good stretch on D early in the 4th and got a couple good stops on Middleton. But then he'd go on offense and touch the ball and do things that even make Russ have to cover his eyes. He's unplayable right now. Let's get him the rest we would give Kief when he went off the rails and revisit him in 5 games or so.

after one stop on middleton (which the ref could have called a foul for getting into his landing space, imo), he barked a bit. then middleton basically ended us all by himself.

    He overachieved early?

Maybe he's the type who peaks in the training camp. LOL.

This is just who he’s always been. He gives good effort on the defensive end, but his offensive game is wildly inconsistent.

    yeah, it's pretty weird.

    upload_2021-11-18_13-8-53.png

yeah, pretty much, save for the atlanta years, i guess.

i just feel like he doesn't even look to be moving as fast as he was in the preseason. maybe it's as simple as "others are also trying now", but that still seems like an incomplete explanation.

this is the first time he's been bad defensively in years, though, which may support my injury theory?

^ also watching him play isn't very enjoyable and he always looks like he injured his back just by how stiff and upright he always is when running.

Not convinced. His technique is ugly, odd shooting form. He needs to be the best defender of the team if he wants to play

Ok this guy is by FAR the biggest disappointment signing this year. The way he was playing in pre season he looked like he was going to be a starter for the year. Now he can’t even get off the bench, even though we still have major injuries and Lebron out for suspension. He has been unplayable. Have to cut this guy at some point. I’ve given up on him now. So has the coach obviously.

Can't lose your spot to a non-guaranteed AB. Can't lose all your minutes to Monk who is shooting fadeaways from the corner. Knicks guards were lighting us up, could've used someone like his profile.

If you can't play him, Rob has to give Vogel someone he can play. Stanley Johnson call up?
