If a Kawhi trade happens, then it happens. But until then, I don't see how Randle goes anywhere else. Dallas can't offer him the max anymore, and I don't know another team that is really interested in him.

McGee + Lance off the bench will improve our D so I can’t complain. Also explains the release of Bryant.

They didn’t say LeBron was the domino for no reason. It’s why making his decision early and not dragging it out was so important. Waiting to see where the best player in the league goes holds up lots of other small deals.

Just imagine this guy with passes from Lonzo and LeBron... he is very quick-footed for a big and is exactly the kind of lob threat the Lakers need!

    Look at the rim protection!

Look at the #9 of top highlights from this past season. He runs on the fast break and gets down there pretty quick!

    This guy can shoot too...

The other thing I like about this guy is that he is high character and guys just love him. He knows his role and won't try to do too much. Perfect for this team!

I really love this signing especially at the price tag we got this guy for.

I like this signing. When Javale moved into the starting lineup in the finals it made a huge difference. Good guy that plays hard.

Our FO with the scouting on FA acquisitions is like our scouting staff and FO with our draft picks. They know their stuff beautifully. And Luke the perfect coach to pull all this together if we can't get LaVar to drop the JBA league and come in. That's my dream but Luke is right up there 2nd choice.

He’s pretty much a broke man’s DeAndre Jordan for 22 million dollars less. I can deal with that. Blocks shots, catches lobs, loves to dunk, if he’s a backup it’s a very good signing. If he’s a starter we better have a great cast around him like GS did when they started him.

Hey, at least we got chicken, I mean JaVale McGee. On a serious note - another awesome 1-year contract. This is what LBJ does for us. We get to see some nice dunks, quality D from a mobile big etc. And by etc. I mean silly, stupid plays from time to time, but I am totally OK with that. The guy is a contributor.

My reaction to this is WTF.

What happened to our values... High IQ, striving excellence etc...

This guy is now the equivalent to Jr Smith in Cleveland. LeBron can't rid himself from dumb players.

He's garbage ... Obviously getting Lebron is awesome but following it by two horrible ones is weird( Lance and this one ) .

I'll be a minority here but JM has the overall skillset to be a beast. Yes, he lacks mental focus at times and has a low to moderate BBall IQ as has been stated but he can be a beast around the right players. He will feast off of the court vision of Lonzo and Bron and he will def attack the rim. I can't see him in super high minutes but defensively he has potential to really help us. I've always liked his upside just not his focus or decision making when he was let lose. On this team, like with GS, he won't have that freedom to simply run crazy. Could be a great signing for us.

He is too old to realize untapped potential.

Should have signed Lopez and called it a day. He is trash.

I'm not sure I agree with him being trash. I did love Lopez though. I would have gladly taken him back. He has a much, much, much higer IQ than JM. JM has a much higher skillset than Lopez. I get why folks don't love it though. I just think with the right leadership he can do a lot damage.

WTF is happening? First Lance, now McGee??? Who's next? JR? Swaggy?
Not the worst signing though. Cheap, athletic big, good rim protector and a great finisher. Let's give him a chance. (I like it more than Stephenson's signing).

Over the past handful of years we’ve had Jordan Hill, Robert Sacre, Chris Kaman Tarik Black, Roy Hibbert, Mosgov, Andrew Bogut, and Zubac in McGee’s current spot. This isn’t a big deal to me at all compared to that, as long as he isn’t our day 1 starter. At least he jumps out of the gym and blocks shots.
