He knows how to play the game, never complains, plays his role perfectly. I was extremely pleased with his effort yesterday.
Has been like 3 times including last night he’s come into games cold and first shot he’ll bury a 3. As we discuss .... a lot of bench players can’t do that.
He has been a great addition to the team. Not only has he brought a positive attitude to the team, but he has been able to step in whenever needed and play relatively well. To have him as like a 12th, 13th man on the team is really a great value for us.
Blew a defensive assignment and gave up a backdoor flush but overall played solid, smart ball. Fouled at the right time not allowing easy scores and on players that are lousy free throw shooters.
This dude is very self aware. We need more guys like that, who just know what their role is and how to play on the court even with many shortcomings.
Dudley can still play basketball but if he retires, I wonder if we can under some capacity, have him work for the Lakers. The way he handles himself is very refreshing.
Can't believe it has taken me this long to listen to one of Dudley's interviews, as I have been told in person and reading what a great attitude and mindset he has with this team. Now that I finally have, I can see what people are talking about. Not only has he played his role PERFECTLY on the floor in the limited amount of appearances he's been allowed including solid damn defense and coming in cold and knocking down 3s ..... but he IS a cool dude and you can see why he's so great around a locker room. Great energy in his personality and willingness to do whatever is asked of him, and also great knowledge of the game and long time starter experience like Rondo. Love this guy in spite of the stupid level of mocking he took here from .........
Interesting the Dudley said he had a riprap with Doc Rivers and playing for the Clippers was the worst year of his career. He mentions it in the video about at about 3:30 into it.
Great past two games from him. To echo what others have said, he plays his role perfectly. Even if that role changes from one night to the next. He knows what he can do and will give you exactly that, efficiently, whenever his number is called. 5 minutes one night, DNPs for 2 weeks and then 15 minutes. He's always ready. Those two defensive stops he got with stationary verticality was great. Every contender needs consummate professionals on their bench like Dudz.
Yeah, it's weird that this break for AD has actually been a bit of a blessing in disguise as we've gotten to see our bench guys fill in and do a great job, Dudley included. These guys are showing their quality.
The lunacy of the pissed off contingent of fans about the rest of our roster that's so "weak" with the holes in it and Lebron "having to play" PG at 35 years old, when you consider just what a deep roster it is, that originally left one spot open to fill a need down the road, and certainly a mindset to see the team play first and then address any weaknesses with hopefully solid basketball decisions at the trade deadline. Raise your hand if you think they will. They have been solid gold with "basketball talent evaluation" for years now, MozDeng not applicable as FO decision. And Lebron looking like he's cruising out there having a ball playing Magic like basketball amazingly well. He wants to play like this! And is doing an amazing job with Vogel subbing very well for him during games.
