i mean, that's pretty much the dudley. he didn't stick in the league due to his other-worldly talent.
JD needs to heal his own damn self first haha. I keep hearing how deep we are, but behind Bron and AD, it’s just Kuz and Dudz, along with 2wayer Kostas for 45 days. I get that we can move Green, Kcp or Daniels to play some 3 behind Bron, but let’s not act like that’s ideal. Either way, associating the term body guarding with Dudz is appropriate. But like Whitney Houston, that term is so 90s. The kids call it load management these days.
i don't think there are a lot of backup sfs or backup units in general that will punish you for playing an undersized 3.
I agree with you...but my gripe with frontline depth stems from exposure on the court. I don’t want Bron/AD on the court if they don’t have to be there. Incidence of injury correlates to exposure on the court. I understand that the game is played with alot more finesse now, but I still don’t want our stars on the court in the regular season any longer than they have to be. Kuz has proven to be an ironman for us over the years, so you look at Dudz and that guy does not avg many minutes per game. Ideally you want to keep McGee/Howard at the 5, so you’re asking Kuz to shuffle between Bron and AD as the primary backup to both them dudes. Also at times, you want Kuz to play with that duo. So god forbid anything happens to Kuz, our rotations is f***ed on that frontline if it’s just Dudz.
D and his quickness didn't look all that bad considering that rust. Dwight was being called old and slow with his rust 10 days ago. Rust Never Sleeps. Neil Young
In a 36 point win, dude was the only one to have a net negative on the squad. https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/golden-state-warriors-los-angeles-lakers-2019101613/ But it is a preseason game, so I’ll reserve unadulterated judgement for later.
