You know... it's a crap move but I don't know what built up to that.

    1. I have some begrudging respect for him if that guy deserved it. There's few people in the League now that'll actually fight for what they believe is injustice. There's a lot of whining, but not a lot of really true tough individuals. That's not to say fighting automatically makes you a tough guy, but if Childress had been getting fouled all night long without any calls, then I understand more his frustration in that moment. The announcers made it sound like this was a long-time coming.

    2. Don't throw an elbow like a UFC fighter man. Go confront him to his face and if he says or does something then throw a punch. Don't sucker elbow a guy like the freaking Undertaker.

If that happened in the NBA, the game would've been stopped for 15 minutes while the refs decided what to do

Right at the very start of the clip, Childress got blindsided in the key from the guy with a hard pick, or just a hard bump, whatever it was and knocked on his can. So he got up and repaid the favor more intensely. Much like Fish with Scola, but not nearly as sneaky.

Well if that hard screen was the only thing then Childress overreacted. But if there was more to it then I'd just like to know before passing judgement.

Yeah looks bad. But maybe there were more instances with the other guy earlier....sort of like what prompted the "ever so popular and Epic" Andre Miller no likey Blake Griffin Youtube..... [IMG] Am guessing not, but maybe.......

I read a story from someone that was actually at the game. He's a former NBA player playing overseas and I guess those guys are instant targets for everyone over there. He was dealing with s*** like that all game and had enough of it.

Not even that bad of an elbow. He'd be out 5 games in NBA for it max.

Kobe's elbow to Mike Miller was worse. Kobe just wasn't as open about it being retaliation.

Wow I had forgotten or maybe never saw the Miller to Kobe elbow and Kobe's retaliation. Miller deserved it too for starting it. He really put a cheap "sucker punch" shot on Kobe while he was going up for his own shot. Kobe's shot though was mild in comparison to the lick that Childress laid on that dude. [IMG] He went flying at the guy in air and landed with his elbow. Kobe did put his weight behind his though at the right instant and let Miller run right into it. A good lick in its own right.

Ah Josh hit him in the chest. The announcers were saying that he had finally boiled over with getting hit in that game. Looks like he finally had enough. Wasn't harder than Fish's shot though.

The guy didn't sell it and even made a basket, respect.
If someone did that to Paul, Bron, Griffin etc. we would have a 20min break and an ESPN 1.5hrs long movie about getting back to sport and a life after an assault.
