Dwights dunks in the dunk contest were very underwhelming compared to the others...to the degree that you thought: "why the hell is he in the contest?"

But considering he is 35, a bigman and has had multiple back surgeries...its still very impressive.

The 24 superman cape was cool.

Want to see a 3 point contest in practice between our two centers. Also gives them a chance to get it out of their systen so they can stay in the paint unless a 3 chance arises in a blowout.

On a per minute basis, this season is Dwight's:

3rd highest rebound rate per minute
Tied for highest offensive rebound rate per minute
3rd highest block rate per minute
Highest FG% in his career by a wide margin

When he's out there, Dwight still produces. If we win the chip, it will be a joy for us to see him get one.

Could this be the end of hack a Dwight? Who woulda thought that standing a few feet back from the line would make him into a legit FT shooter.

Slow time for news, so people are just making crap up. In reality, they would love to sign both. But duh, one is producing and healthy and one is injured.

I don't know why signing both isn't more of an option. Javale and Dwight are splitting about 36 minutes. With AD's health, throughout the regular season, he should be hovering around 30 minutes. If Cousins is serious about returning to the Lakers, I believe him accepting a bench role and playing alongside Dwight as a power forward would make us the most formidable frontcourt in a long time. Cousins could also play center with AD if we needed more spacing. I would like to see Dwight retire as a Lakers. I think how he ends his career will solidify his place in NBA center history.

I had this thought that if the season restarts without fans in a arena, Dwight might become a beast.

A lot of his weaknesses were mental, we have all seen him make his free throws and drain a dozen 3 pointers in a row in a empty gym by himself.....

I wonder if the empty gym atmosphere translate lol

Lakers fans would have taken over the arenas... No fans hurts us the most because Clippers would have been boo'd off their own 'home' court.
