This alone won't go anywhere, especially if Trump loses

This is an appetizer. Criminal charges will come later.

I am highly skeptical. This is being pushed by all Republicans. Google has the Democrats in their back pocket. This goes no where without bipartisan support.

I don't see your point. The DOJ serves the agenda of the POTUS administration. Not congress. As long as Trump is in office, they'll follow his agenda. Ditto if Biden takes over.

Be interesting to see if anything happens, and if so, what.

The majority of jurors attending jury duty are retirees. That means boomers. Many of them don't understand what search engine metadata is and why it matters. Younger (more tech literate) jurors may be interested in sitting in on a Google lawsuit, but jury pools often don't know what cases are coming up. So they often cook up excuses not to come, or just don't show up at all.

The last time the DOJ filed a lawsuit like this was the Microsoft lawsuit in 1998 over their Internet Explorer browser. The DOJ won that case, but an appeals court overturned it, forcing the DOJ and Microsoft to settle.

I’m sure Google has better attorneys than the US Government

Probably so. That's why the DOJ needs strong evidence to present to a jury. Barr began exploring a case against Google last year about the same that former Google engineer Zach Vorhees became a whistleblower and leaked thousands of internal Google documents.

The US allowed this tech giant to grow beyond its control, paring it down will be nearly impossible without sending the Navy Seals in every corner of the Globe to take out its immature officers and employees.:ADGlance:
