The good news for now is we have so many guards they will either buy in to Ham's style or sit and watch.
Good points on this one regarding Schroder and then the roster as a whole in the second part. Sums up points I was trying to make over the weekend.
talk bout desperation on both sides, how many pg do we need and Denis looking pathetic AF for coming back on vet min deal
I think he will be really solid. He played ok for us in 21. He was just a victim of all that contract story. He and Pat can make a very nagging backcourt for opponents
I liked him early that season. He was pesky on defense and was a good scorer but then his shot stopped falling later in the season and that affected his impact.
Alex Caruso isn't a starting caliber PG. That just puts all the playmaking responsibility on Lebron. The funny team about that team to me ,was that Schroder expected to start, and that was deemed some kind of problem, but so did Gasol, but that wasn't some big issue.
Vogel started him in Game 6 of the Finals We would have continued running what we did in the bubble. Two 3D guards, Lebron and AD. Secondary playmaking with Marc. Schroder/Trez offense combo off the bench that we needed the year before.
He only started 1 game, and I thought Alex did great in his role. I don't think it was some kind of magic formula lineup per se..that got us a chip, AD and Lebron being dominant players allowed different guys to step up. Avery was our starter before Covid hit, and we had the best record in the League at that time. Trez and Gasol were odd pickups to me. I would have stuck with Javale and Dwight.
