I wouldn’t be surprised now with us bringing in yet another quality PG capable player in Schroder if there’s a deal in the works with San Antonio. Pop and Russ together might be a good pairing as others have said and make Pop’s last year livable while still losing a tanking level of games in the tough western division. If it happens there’s size coming back from somewhere.

The good news with all of this is Ham will start the players that earn it. He isn't just going to automatically start the five highest paid players. Russ will start if he earns the spot but not just because he is making $47 mil. If his plays sucks like last season I had rather pay him that much money to come off the bench than that much to start and really screw us over. I hope he earns the starting spot because that will mean he is playing some good ball. AD will play the Giannis role in that the offense will revolve around him. He isn't going to be expected to play like Giannis does. AD is plenty good being AD. Just needs to stay healthy, be in shape and have the right mentality. A Schroeder that has eaten the entire humble pie might actually be good to have around. Things are getting more exciting all the time.

Right I haven't said it but this is a good pickup, Dennis is a playoff roster guy, FFS we only have like 5 playoff roster players before getting him. LBJ, AD, Bev, Nunn, Russ and you can throw Reaves in there but he's a bit inexperienced. I think he will step up though

I think the Lakers are actively trying to get me to quit being a fan.

This season is, again, going to be a circus. Russ, Beverly and Dennis... I am also pretty sure that AR's gonna get buried on the bench, because it is easier for a rookie headcoach, then to deal with egos of the idiots mentioned above.

wtf is happening? More moves have to be coming here. Nunn and Brick just have no place on a team that also has Beverley and Schroeder

I think Russ is gone. Either a trade or a buy out … which would suck for not getting any value back for him as abeer said.

Dennis' best years was playing with Ham's system while he was with the Hawks right?

Too bad we let Philly get Trezz. We could've done it right this time.

Not a fan of him, what he thinks of himself, his awful tattoo, or that teams are better without him on the court or in their locker room.

He is going wild for Germany right now. Making him a bargain for the min.

Need to know what's next before we can really properly evaluate whether this one make sense for the team or not.

    Cool. Good value signing.

He can be a very good sixth man or even start in certain spots.

But it is another guard, lol.

A lot of his play irritated me, he makes really bad passes, jumps to pass too much, lazy turnovers, etc, I haven’t forgotten. But Russ was worse for 40-some more million dollars, and he’s not gonna “demand” to start this time. So I’ll try to look at the positives we missed like this

Agree. I think if he's properly slotted (comes off bench), he can be a net positive. IMO.

He's humbled how exactly? Dude thinks he's a superstar. He disses the opponents, smiles while dribbling, "dances" with the ball like it's a streetball game. Good luck telling him, he's coming off the bench <inserts popcorn gif>.
We need f***ing forwards, not midget dumkopfs.

The assets we had to get a wing was the mMLE and THT. We didn’t utilise either of those assets very well in my opinion.

But Schroeder as a vet minimum signing has nothing to do with that.

ANYONE accepting a vet min does not think they are a superstar LOL.

That is such an over-the-top statement. Dennis now understands the floor dropping out on the PG market. Thinking he will play poorly because of this is just ridiculous.

mini mle wasn't going to nab an impactful wing, but i agree THT could have possibly done so. and adding stan to him to bring in a guard was silly.

getting schroder makes me further question the wisdom of the beverley trade.

I was never a huge fan of him but his play for us this Summer with the national team was really impressive. Not only on the court but also of the court as a leader and team captain, you only heard positive things about him.
The only thing still lacking is his shooting, but i guess that makes him an even better fit for this team, right? :Brows:

Don't know how to read this one.
In isolation is a great addition. He produces much more than the vet min.
But we are clogging the guard spot. So I'm guessing Nunn is not playing and/or we have a Russ trade lined up.

If Russ doesn't get traded, it's really dumb to have added Stan to Bev trade
