But yeah, the guy has had so many fresh starts I can't keep up with which one this would be.

He'll get to party&doesn't have the pressure being a backup. I think it's going to happen.

Just need him serviceable in the playoffs if McGee gets in foul trouble.

I'm not down with Dwight. Pass. Get Faried instead please. I don't care if he's undersized. He actually has heart. Coward is a loser.

I hate howard, but if he really did buy into being a backup center and grabbed averaged 10pts 10reb and 1blck thats a solid back up

Posting this here too, because people here are being fooled by Dwight’s numbers again, doesn’t matter if he says yet again that he’s changed, he will beat you again, don’t go back to him.

I hope Anthony is right here, it’s very reassuring. Also, if you’ve talked yourself into Dwight being ok here, please listen to the first 12 minutes of the Sunday Locked On Lakers podcast. Pete and Anthony will talk you out of it, I’ll post it as soon as it becomes available to link. But anyway here’s these

It would be really hard to accept Dwight, but this is pretty much an entirely new Organization, Team & Staff than when Dwight & the Lakers had their falling out & most of that was because Dwight & Kobe were a mismatch..

This is me trying to talk myself into it...

I strongly dislike Dwight, but I don't see much risk in signing him to a minimum contract with the explicit understanding that he is backing up Mcgee. Yes he has given plenty of lip service about fresh starts before, but he was still going into those new teams as the presumed starting Center. It's slim pickings out there so as gross as it would feel having Howard back in LA, I wouldn't mind it at least for the entertainment and comedic value alone. And if it does happen then obviously Lebron and AD would give their blessing, so whatever.

I like Faried honestly. He is a great back up and is actually better for this team and gives us more options. Does he have injury history like Noah or DH? I think he is relatively healthy. He can run the floor nice as well Can you see Howard sliding to the 4? Faried can. He can play 2 positions, which can change the dynamics of this team. Idk I like the dudes hustle. But I guess it is what ever.

I'd rather have Faried too if he's available rather than Dawite. Dawite's last stint here was an unmitigated disaster, as was that whole season.

I'd love FVV but at age 25, and Lowry at 33 and an impending free agent, you have to figure Toronto views him as a long-term piece for their team alongside Siakam. IF they did decide to trade him for whatever reason, it's certainly going to take much more than that.

Ironically, this past Lebron season was the biggest nightmare since the Dwightmare season.

Would putting two together make it right?

Give me Joakim Noah. I’d rather take a 35 year old injury prone big who will hustle, is a good passer, and knows his role vs a 33 year old injury prone big who thinks he’s a legit post up option so he started working on shooting 3s to expand his game.

Well Dwight has since apologized to Kobe and admitted he was soft and even thanked Kobe for calling him soft even. That's cool, but too little too late as far as I'm concerned. His tail is tucked between his legs so of course he's going to try and mend fences. Maybe a step toward maturity but what is he? 34 in a little over 3 months? Another thing, aging on a guy who's game is solely based on athleticism.

Move on from this guy like he did from us.

I like the Faried option. scoring and great energy off the bench for our team. Who knows, maybe his ridiculously small sample size of 35% on 3s in Houston will turn into something viable with our shooting staff assisting.

Howard can apologize all he wants. He's mentally done playing in the NBA. It happens to many many many players. HOFers to bench guys.

Faried might be the only option at this point. At least we know he can still play a minor role on a team.

    I do not want Dwight.

If we get him, I’d accept it like catching herpes, but I wouldn’t be happy about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if we signed Dwight and my body psychosomatically caused my urine to burn.
