Talen is 18. He'll have plenty of time over the next 3 or 4 years. I probably would have liked Jeff Green or Wes Matthews too, but for minimum deals we're splitting hairs anyway.
Then we essentially agree. My main point is that as minimums go, Green before Dudley, for sure. And yes, Mathews over Daniels. Damn, now that I think about that...Green and Mathews would have been crazy good fits with this team. Hope Horton and Perkins get time this year with AD, Bron, and Kuz lineups.
I don't get how anyone can be upset with this. Needs after Clippgate: -Starting 2 guard -Shooting -Defense -Playoff experience -High IQ -Plays well with others (not ball dominant or an ego bigger than his salary) -Did I mention shooting? Checks every single box. Who cares at the rate? It's 2 years and about what the market dictated this off-season. I guess we could've rolled out KCP and Lance again. That worked out really well.
Danny Green is a great signing and fit for us. 3 and D wing supreme! Can't wait till he gets open looks from Lebron, AD, and Boogie.
Man, I hate this signing, I played with this new roster on 2K19 tonight vs the Bucks and Green couldn’t make a shot to save his life. Cousins killed it though, and AD was the player of the game in a win with 14 points and 18 boards.
Lol, I put together our roster in 2k and had the opposite experience. Towards the end of the game as I was blowing out the Rockets, I felt bad and tried to pad Lebron’s stats. Because I pretty much ignored him the rest of the game and effectively ran my offense getting Green open shots off the post attention created by AD and Cousins.
Great regular season shooter - horrible PO shooter - just going by last season. If we get the same type of efficiency during the regular season from 3-point %, we're in good shape. However, the PO shooting have me a little concerned, but let's get there first...
I love this signing. I've always liked Danny Green, 3 and D is huge in today's game. And while I do believe his offense could be better post season... the dude still brings it, on the defensive end. He was key in setting up that freaking roadblock defense they would run. I think his defense got over-shadowed by Kawhi this year. And speaking of which... just some dude's opinion about Forwards this year. And if you keep reading for the Guards... Speaking of Kobe, I bet he loves this team.
I agree with you on the Green preference talent wise, but an article just came out (sorry I don't have the link) that LeBron recruited Dudley, so Rob was probably following LeBron's lead on that decision.
