We could say it but it won't happen for Alex. I get it that AD likes Rondo and they do have a good chemistry on court. But Danny Green was our big signing off season and we desperately need his defense and the spacing his shooting gives us. I really liked our starting lineup a lot and I'm glad that Vogel went with it. I'm just hoping for more of that and less of Rondo, especially when Lebron is on the court. I'm very glad we kept Caruso though.
Great game - we won't get 28 every night but I think it's fair to expect 15 a night from him and very good defense. If LeBron had shown up - we probably win this game.
Exactly why we should have mirrored Green's minutes with Kawhi. Though Green was so hot that he kept us in the game during the third though. Without another wing defender or Lebron not wanting that challenge, we have to be smarter about how we use Green.
I certainly don't expect this much from DG every game, but I do expect more great play from him. He's in a perfect position to do what he does best here alongside Lebron and AD. Play good perimeter D and knock down open jumpers. That I do expect. He should have plenty of great games considering his teammates and his skillset. This is what he's here for.
