Maybe I’m proven wrong in very sad fashion, but IMO his leadership and work ethic alone might justify the cash. I thought he was a FA prize this year.

Danny Green winning the championship likely increased his actual value by 33%. I would have felt far more comfortable with a $10 million per year. He's had a few down years in terms of shooting (by his own standard) the year before this. Seems like last year may have been the outlier. Most concerning to me about Danny Green is his decreased playoffs output. He didn't play well vs the Warriors and has stumbled in the playoffs occassionally. On the other hand, this will be the most wide open Danny Green will ever be. Among catch-and-shoot players, players shooting 4.5 3PA or more, Danny Green has the highest 3P% in the league at 47%. In fact, the only other players who comes close is Buddy Hield at 46% and Stephen Curry is at 45%. A lineup of Danny Green, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Avery Bradley, and Javale McGee/Dwight would leave Danny Green with plenty of options with screens and wide open shots. Also, that is likely our best defensive lineup as well.

Saw Kcp in LB this weekend....nah, not that LB...Long Beach. Dude looks like he's in great shape.

I hope there's a legit battle for that starting SG slot, cause Green is gunning for it.

You hope KCP is battling for the starting position against Green? I hope when he subs in for Green he finally plays up to what we all expected out of him when he first came and doesn't suck any more. Rooting for him and I do expect him to play better especially as hard as he has been working.

I think Green will get it, but if you're the backup, you should challenge the guy ahead of you. That's just good for the team.

Your guy Caruso ain't going to just lay down for Rondo as the starter, is he?

Plus till we lock up AD, Klutch runs this s***.

KCP's reputation as a 3&D player is vastly overrated, though. People expect him to be some sort of Klay-Thompsonlike player but KCP isn't even known as a shooter by statistical measure. Before he even signed with the Lakers, he had never shot above 35% from three. He's just overrated and since we lacked shooters last year, we fully expected KCP to make a huge impact on that end and it simply was too much to hope for.

I'm still extremely high on this signing. Love what Danny Green brings to the game and it's exactly what we need, D and shooting. Losing Lonzo hurt us defensively, but getting Green helps replace that at the guard position.

That’s the Kang. Surprised Nike didn’t confiscate the footage.

like the competitiveness in practice--you don't see a lot of seasoned vets trying to get backcourt picks in training camp.

He’s trying to shame Lebron into playing defense and tighten up his dribble.

    Starting to like that guy.

Once again though. Everyone is sleeping on Avery Bradley. Dude might end up our starting (and finishing) pg simply because he has the potential to be an elite defender against all the pgs in the West. If we put out our best lineup to close games, depending on the matchup, Bradley may have to be in it.

They used closing lineups in practice with Lebron running Point and AD at Center, and then with Caruso, Bradley, and KCP.

I would have never chose that lineup, so Vogel is thinking out of the box for sure.

But Caruso is kind of our security blanket, so it makes sense when you think about it.

That's not going to be the lineup when Kuz is back. My guess is Kuz switches out for KCP. So after that, Green vs Caruso is the only question mark. I think our best lineup is AD/Lebron/Kuz/Green/Bradley with Lebron acting as the pg on offense. That is unless of course Dwight has his head on straight. If he does, then you switch out either Bradley or Green for Dwight.
