I like Jones and Bryant but this is one of the big reasons the Indy Turner trade or possible Orlando Bamba trade appeals to me. We could use a real starting caliber center to play along with AD. These guys are legit bench centers but not so much starting material.
IDK..Javale and Dwight weren't really starting caliber centers either. I need to see some offense from Bryant, particularly that outside shot he's supposed to have. I wouldn't be mad if we took a look at Boogie again because Huff isn't it either.
I honestly thought he was out there for much longer than 6 minutes. That’s how bad he looked in that little stretch despite okay numbers.
He seems dumb. Hasn't played well at all. Here and there show some flashes, with a few dunks and changing shots but he's outplayed everytime by Gabriel, which is worrisome. I would start to bring Huff to games and give him some runs because we have a problem at the 5
I thought we were supposed to have the 5 covered with (3) legit centers, and here we are talking about closing with leBone at the 5. Sheesh.
I’m not ready to write him off yet… but yeah he doesn’t look great. Did we really need to give him a player option for next year? When we’re apparently so gung-ho on cap space, why did we so casually give him the PO? Would we really have been outbid otherwise? And I don’t want to make a mountain out of a molehill, in the event he accepts his PO but we need a few extra million in cap room for whatever reason, it’s not going to be THAT difficult to dump a minimum contract. But still feels like another example of an overpay from Rob and we’ve been seeing so many of these types of mismanaged situations that have added up to start hurting us.
Got us some easy oops with those 4 lobs. Not much else going, but that's much better than what we've seen from him in recent showings.
Don't know why he just doesn't keep his hands up ready to catch the ball. The dude is slow to react or just plain fumbles passes away that would be easy shots
I advocated for him in the offseason but man I don't like him. He still does what I've seen and expected, lob threat and blocking some shots, but he's a - when on the floor. Low to none BBIQ, bad hands, bad defense reads and soft in the paint, he's so big but he doesn't scare guards that are attacking the basket Totally in favor in giving a shot to Huff
I’m not sure I’ve ever been more wrong on a player, maybe Javaris Crittenton? I wish him well though, maybe he can turn it around somewhere else.
