poor man's kcp. funny that he was drafted a spot ahead of him. anyway, the pickings looked pretty slim, so whatever. if he's playing for us in the playoffs, we're probably in trouble.
the 2013 draft was absolute garbage. oladipo, giannis, and gobert are the only notable names from that draft
I’m wondering that. I think everyone benefits from playing beside a guy like Lebron but he’s been up and down his whole career. I don’t hate the signing though.
Yeah. Doesn’t seem like much was available. If someone better was a realistic option I think we would’ve passed.
33% shooting this season so far minus the Lakers 3 point tax of 5% = he's going to be a 28% shooter according to my math
Good read to get to know this new player on our roster. I’ll root for him to shoot well again, defend decently with all the work he’s put in and it doesn’t suck he has NBA slam dunk contest hops. From his background being bounced around and just hoping for player development coaching, this will be like a dream come true with what Handy and everyone else on the staff and team will make available to him.
Sheesh. I've never seen this much complaining about a player who has yet to play a single minute for us. The anti-jinx is strong in this thread.
The history with the coaching turmoil and turnover and teams certainly did not help with his career. He makes a big point of saying in that read above that he really wants the learning and developmental coaching and has been working hard on defense (more the help side than man to man). Our staff sounds like just what he's looking for.
it's fair to say that he's played for a lot of coaches in a short period of time and mostly for bad organizations. if we didn't have kcp, matthews, THT, and caruso to play sg minutes, i think i'd be more interested in the signing. for example, if we have to move kcp for salary purposes next summer and wes bolts or retires, there's a chance mclemore could find a valuable role here. and i think it will be good for him to see lebron and AD up close for a while. he's never really seen that level. imagine the best players you've played with are cousins and harden, who totally skate by on natural ability and are thoroughly disinterested in the little things.
