I've been getting this message quite a bit recently after I try to "like" a post. It asks me that question and then asks me to answer Yes or No. Why? This is annoying. If I'm not sure I want to like a post, I can always "unlike" the post afterwards.
That is not part of the site as far as I can tell. Never seen that myself. Are you seeing that on Mobil and computers as well?
Just Mac and PC computers so far. Not on mobile phones yet. It doesn't happen all the time. Just once in a while. Like once or twice a week.
Found the answer: "This happens when users click the Like control before the page has finished loading and the JavaScript has fully initialized." https://xenforo.com/community/threads/are-you-sure-you-want-to-like-this-post.15954/
There is another possibility it says: “May take into account the online reputation of the original poster you are quoting or replying to” Xenforo Wiki “It occasionally happens on what are deemed as questionable posts - that through our very complex proprietary algorithms and sophisticated TTS engine - is determined to be extremely unlikely to be a ‘likeable’ post. This is not an exact science, and mislabeled pictures, videos, and misc media files can trigger this feature. We are always working to improve and update this feature, as we realize the internet is very unforgiving, and simply ‘liking’ the wrong post can cause a storm of unwanted negative publicity unnecessarily. If you have received this warning, please know we have your best interests in mind, and you may be about to ‘like’ something that could negatively impact your online reputation, and by extension, your future success in life itself.” It goes on to explain some other features that I had no idea were so sophisticated. Big brotherish.
..... like it might wonder if someone really wanted to "Like" one of your worst poo gifs used in a discussion?
