A bit ridiculous what players can get away with when injuring others. Solomon should be suspended and have a large % of his salary taken with plays like that. 100% non basketball move from a scrub who will likely be out of the league next season. The good news is thankfully it happened earlier than later because we couldn't afford to lose LeBron if it was close to the playoffs. The bad news is all it takes is for some scrub like Solomon Hill or Zaza Pachulia to make a dirty play and cost a team their title hopes. These players need to be BANNED from the league... Why would you dive for the ball when you can clearly see someone's legs are exposed there. Even if it's not an intentional play, you should be aware enough to not make those plays! You lost the ball, get back on D instead of making a dangerous move.

I'm sure he could play if he had to. He seems to be moving really well. They just want to make sure he's ready to make big impact right away and (most importantly) does not get injured again so easily. I think it's pretty obvious we'll tank a bit right now and Bron+AD+Drummond will be able to do some damage in early May, right? Drummond obviously much sooner, but he won't be a huge difference maker until we have Bron back. So much relies on LBJ, it's unbelievable.

Almost feel like they're thinking something like this:
-2 weeks for Drummond to come in and get his legs/mind back into game shape and getting used to the defensive plays
-1 weeks later AD comes in
-1 week later Lebron come in

Ideally everyone back around the beginning of May, that gives you a month (3 weeks of game) to get everyone on the same page. Roleplayers will be getting reduced minutes to catch up. Not a lot of time but the core of this team has been together for a year plus playoffs so not as complicated as a new superteam like the Nets

Yeah, that makes sense to me. In any case, it's good AD is taking his time, because Harden injured his hamstring, took a couple of games off, tried to play again today and re-injured it. And he does not get injured easily.

Really don't wish injury on anyone but he's no spring chicken and the s*** he's done the last year with him not taking care of his body feels like basketball karma to me (not taking care of his body seems kind to be frank - more like abusing his body). Kind of ridiculous even when you're super talented to expect your body to hold up just because you happen to be on a team you like.

harden's been begging for injuries for years with the way he lets himself go pretty much every offseason. but he exerts so little effort on defense and almost never jumps, so he's really only going to be prone to muscle injuries like this one or repetitive use injuries, which will probably hit in a couple years and render him pretty useless like wade was after his burst left.

Glad our guys traveled and are engaged. I think having their support really helps the rest of the crew.

This team is one of, if not the closest team I've ever seen. They are a bunch of friends that get to travel across the country and play basketball together. And get paid a lot to do it.

I just see 2 big guys picking nits with the little guy. :p

JK of course and then Dr Handy chimes in as well. I honestly don’t recall EVER seeing this much instruction willingly shared by teammates, especially the STARS, on a Lakers roster. Constant efforts to improve. You see it in THT’s LBJ influenced passes he’s making at 20. Vogel just bonds the hell out of his teams for the goal of winning. Huge props to everyone!!

In terms of camaraderie, this team might be the #1 Lakers team ever. Everyone is on the same page, working together... from your superstar, down to bench players who otherwise would not even participate much, such as Dudley. And look at the vets teaching THT, and him soaking up the knowledge. No one says "I don't want to waste time with a 20-year old" and likewise you don't see THT pretending like he's too good to listen to the advice.

It's not even close. Last year was 2nd ever and this year is 1st. And I have seen 30 years of Lakers basketball.

I've gotta give credit to Lebron. The high chemistry and camaraderie speaks to his leadership.

I feel like our young guys were super close and united against Byron Scott just a few years ago.

It's that Klutch factor as well. Half the team are Klutch clients so they are already familiar with each other... plus the rest of the guys on the team respect Bron so they fall in line. We had Dwight, Rondo, Javale, J.R. and Dion Waiters on the same team last season and not a single peep from them.
