It should not be a long list, AD is a unicorn. He should be top5 of the league with 28yo, in his prime. You think he is atm?

1/4 for me there. lamelo? really?

currently, no. giannis/jokic/kd/curry/luka are top 5 to me. three of those i take over AD going forward, no question. the other two would concern me due to age and injury status (same reason folks are concerned about AD, but probably much more troubling, tbh).

just think fans need some perspective.

i don't think tatum is or will be better than AD. i sort of lol at the lamelo suggestion, no offense. morant's a badass who i think is going to burn out. also, folks concerned about AD's consistency should take a gander at morant's production.

I’d take Luka, Giannis, Jokic over AD no questions.

I’d probably take KD and Curry as well, regardless of age and injury potential.

Then I’d consider Morant and Embiid as well, but it would be a toss up.

Lastly, Kawhi or Zion are big gambles. When they’re healthy I take them both over AD, but I’d they aren’t, it’ll ruin your franchise.

So to me, there are 5 players I’d take straight away and another 4 I’d consider but probably not pull the trigger on.

bring him back when he's ready to play DPOY type of ball. We don't need any weak sauce midrange fall aways from him.

pretty much my take—so why is everyone wringing their hands about having him under contract? Seems like a great thing.

Call me crazy, but with him back, I'd try playing the following 5 as much as possible:

    Monk (yes, at the 1)
    Reaves
    Johnson
    Bron
    AD

You still have Russ, Melo (coming back soon), Dwight, Bradley and THT. So, with a clever rotation, you could always have some people out there who fit well together.

Yeah you’re crazy … sounds like firing Vogel is what’s going to fix everything.

As long as you tell AD he’s not the center, this might work:ADboo:

    We’ve missed him!

At worst he is a top 15 player when healthy with top 10 defensive impact. He can also get you 25 a night on offence.

If there was a single player most suited to fix our defensive issues, it’s bubble AD.

Because he's on the 2nd straight season costing us the year with his injuries

I take Tatum, Brown, Booker, Dame, Beal, Mitchell, LaVine, Towns, Fox, Harden, etc because they play.

    AD is turning into Kawhi.

Really glad he's closer to return. Let's have a uneventful rest of season to get a sense of what this team can do fully healthy please

AD wasn't having his best season.

I also think we didn't put him in great positions.

We need legit wing depth to add with a guy like Davis instead of small guards that have no size.

For instance: let's see what a SJ playing the 5 (in the dunker role spot) and AD look like (without Russ)?

yeah, i'd trade AD for zero of those. some of them get hurt, too, btw. bigs tend to be less available, period, so any analysis based on availability is going to skew small.

No way I trade AD for anyone unless he actively wants out. When you play like he did in the bubble and win us a ring, you're my guy. End of story.

:ADeyesonyouleft:Were you satisfied with his performance this season? He was a top 3 player until he won a title. I don’t consider his play this season near the top 15 at this point. Giannis obliterated his a** in their match up this season where he did not show any semblance of pride.:Kobepuking:

No not really, but I keep trying to focus on these two things you've beat him up on all year which are contradictory and you go all "defense lawyer" on me, trying to confuse the issue.
