Seems like we could use the Robin, our Batmans are getting their butts kicked in spectacular fashion without him.

it's funny how the tenor of the board after losses without AD are like "hey, here were some good things". and when AD is playing, it's all "AD is terrible; YOU CAN'T BUILD AROUND HIM!".

well, you apparently "can't build" around lebron and russ, either.

that's a home loss to the nets minus two stars (one of whom is their best player and a leading mvp candidate) and several others.

probably AD's fault for injuring his knee (by having a player thrown into it by a teammate).

Maybe it's time we start calling him the butler, he's not even a Robin if we are being honest.

Yeah, but look back only 3-4 pages and the only person defending AD was @abeer3.

I also think he's probably the only person that watches other NBA games.

This is why I didn't say a word and get involved.

I knew when he got injured this would happen.

    He isn't the freaking problem.

AD is not the main problem but it certainly doesn’t help playing Melo at center. Of course we are going to look like s***.

And if Russ doesn't shoot as bad as he did, we probably win the game despite Melo being a net negative playing the 5.

Or what about going and trying to find another 4/5 as soon as Ariza went down? Or finding another capable center instead of signing a washed up Jordan (we knew he was done in Brooklyn).

The more I see this season go on - the more I place @ the feet of Rob and this roster construction. Just a horrible job.

Signing 100 short guards is Robs fault. Signing a 44 million guard who isn’t a good fit is Bron and AD’s fault. The price of Russ also limits what kind of money we had to spend this off season also.

No. Jeanie, Rob, AD, and LBJ all deserve a Shar of the blame when it comes to Russ.

    Jeanie signed off on it.

    Rob didn't overrule it.

LBJ and AD have seen Russ their whole career and thought it would work for some reason.

All deserve some culpability for that decision.

As far as the money? When we are in title contention, money shouldn't matter. You spend the money ESPECIALLY if you have a short window to win.

    That's on Jeanie.

I agree Jeanie shares the blame, especially because she was unwilling to pay for the Eagle. If Rob said no to AD and Bron on the Russ deal, I think next year he would have been fired. I believe he’s just trying to save his on skin. Filling in the rest of the roster is his fault IMO but the money issue should get mentioned because it does affect some roster moves.

Edit: since this is the AD thread, I bring it back around on topic. What kind of outfit was that he was wearing yesterday?

At least 4 x better, weird as it was, than any of Kuz’s choices. ;)

I think Robin gets an unfair label. Robin being a second fiddle is a bit of a fallacy after he gets established.

When Robin turns into the Red Hood, he is very much a #1.

I like Jeanie so much I have a hard time blaming her for anything but you are right. I think the way the Westbrook trade happened, so out of the blue it was orchestrated by Lebron and AD. Rob has shown he is too smart to do that deal (hopefully any way). I think he would have been good with the Buddy. I have never liked signing so many players that are so limited. I like actual basketball players. It is just my opinion but when Lebron is on your team it seems that the GM and coaches are so busy kissing his a$$ that they are not able to effectively do their jobs. We started the season blowing off the pre season. Then it was we will figure it out in twenty games. That is all bs. No coach thinks that way. No coach, let alone a veteran like Vogel, would have such a limited offense. He not only has to cater to Lebron but AD is not particularly a team first guy. I had not watched Westbrook enough to know just how bad his defense was and is. I have never seen anyone out of position so often. Every now and then by accident he stumbles in to the right place. Those are three penciled in starters that Vogel really has no control over. Russ would make a good 6-8 man but is not a starter. AD even when healthy has no desire. He is the reincarnation of Deng. There is no coach out there that could thrive in our current quagmire. I apologize for such a negative post, I had to watch part of yesterday's game with a bunch of Laker haters and the team did not give me much to work with.
