Yeah he’s not the same guy as last season right now. I know some will say just suck it up and play, but the short turnaround is not good for these guys. Our team had 2 months off, I fear greater injury to AD and LeBron as this goes on. I honestly wish he’d sit and heal if he’s hurting right now.

Me, too Weezy. Especially with a back to back situation tomorrow. Wish he had sat tonight.

It starts with you AD , the timing/effort isn't there , why would you keep your hand down on the Murray corner 3 by instance ?

We DID see some weird coverages tonight , double teaming the post one pass away with zero effort to rotate was mind blowing .

OK so is adductor problem just another or a fancy way to be talking about a groin problem, @lakerjones ? Or what is the difference? I didn't realize AD was actually going to go out due to this and didn't read the medical description all that well.

glad AD is mad, but that's platitude city. almost nobody "brings it for 48 minutes" defensively, so it's an easy out. the communication point is fine and a symptom of the early season coalescence, but i think he was just mad they got burned by the fire they played with for two weeks against bad teams. i don't like playing so many bad teams in a row. you're bound to lose a game you shouldn't because, say, the spurs' midrange allstars feel 2 feet stronger for one night. that's all this was. they beat the vaunted clippers the same way the previous game. they'll finish 10th and no one will care about how to match up with them.

he statted it up for 12 games last year and has been statting it up so far this year. if AD was 30 lbs, lighter, not a face up threat on the dribble, and didn't play defense, you'd have wood.

Dude's as underweight as Harden is overweight.

right. capela put up some big numbers there, too, that were obviously inflated by the system and his job as the primary roll man for harden and cp (now wall). wood's more talented offensively than capela (can hit the standing three pretty well, can put it on the floor for two dribbles), but i'm not sold on his being a star they just discovered. they saw a guy who would thrive in their system, which was what morey did a lot there. he got credit for talent evaluation, but it was fit evaluation. pj tucker wouldn't be as useful elsewhere as he has been for them. wood would be problematic if he were asked to carry an offense rather than be opportunistic.

AD shouldn't complain about the defense. It hasn't been the best compared to last season but Lakers are still one of the best defensive teams despite losing Bradley+Dwight. Plenty to blame AD for as well considering he's getting lazy at times. Better yet, AD needs to focus on rehabbing his body. He has not had the same explosiveness off putback dunks and I have not seen the guy attempt a shot other than a mid-range since ages...

In the first half he was the best player on the court. Dominated both ends of the court. Great statement game from him after he called out the team for their lack of D two games back.

75% shooting and a +/- of +29. That's nasty. I'm glad Wood circled this one. Hope it was everything he hoped it would be (hate that he got garbage time stats to pad just how infective he was when we were cruising).

Yeah, I was going to say, I guess Wood got what he wanted - a matchup with the one and only Unibrow. How'd that go?

What a game. I don’t know if the game off had him feeling rested, I don’t know if he’s been purposely coasting as a plan along with most of the team, but tonight was the return of 2020 playoffs AD. Immediately set the tone with his energy on defense and quick scoring and the team seemed to follow.

his iso d on harden was masterful. harden looked like an absolute fool. probably should have been called for an offensive foul at least twice. got basically nowhere on him. that's demoralizing for a team who's bailout strategy is "harden puts head down and gets foul call to stop bleeding". just kept bleeding.
