    Unserious front office, season will be over by then. We aren’t playing .500 ball that long, we’re only winning now because we’ve played the worst teams in the league. Wouldn’t even be surprised if we lose at SA, and then Indy is really good, we play the Bucks to kick off a hard road trip with the Wizards, Cavs, Raptors and Sixers, then get Boston at home, the schedule doesn’t let up.

    When you are one of the worst teams in the league, the schedule never lets up. Of course, other teams schedules let up when they play us!! So, there is always that!!

    What is semi-realistic is them starting to gel and playing .500 ball AT BEST from now on, still finishing under .500 for the season.

    Sucks but it make sense. I get it. But then you really need to freaking do something after December 15th and not dilly dally about it any more. Got to put together a better roster than this. There is deadweight to dispose of and some of it should be valuable as expiring contracts and as others try to improve their tank positions. Let's hope we do this and not waste more of the season past that. February deadline is way too late. Maybe Russ trade doesn't materialize till then but there are other moves we can make. I had already resigned myself to the fact that the FO would do this - wait until December 15th. So it's not a surprise at all to me. I think abeer3 had mentioned this several times as realistic to expect for the exact reason given here.

    I get it for the fact that more players will be available. But constantly kicking the deadline out is ridiculous. We've heard what? 5 separate deadlines now (if you believe the reports along the way), dragging this thing out more and more until it's too late. It’s like the injury update of "two weeks away."
