Sounds like there might be some better deals out there soon.

Their best asset likely on the market is also a small guard though, lol. With that being said, I would not mind Rozier in the right trade.

    Lol.

Funny enough, I’ve never been a huge fan of the Indians deal. I think they will regret not trading them for Russ and one pick.

The Bridges incident completely changed everything. I feel like we might have got something done with them by now.

I do think they are going to fall off.

I would assume we’d work another of our guards into any deal.

Sucks that we don't hold rights to our pick. On the bright side, we may have a better opportunity than usual to acquire win now assets at a good price. Smart move by Lakers for not making a move yet.

    I'm not a fan of Rozier's deal.

He's a high volume 3 point shooter, though. Think Russ is the better finisher.

Iron sharpens Iron, if they play I imagine that they earned it. That goes for these young guys too, we should have a lot of hungry guys on this team. We've had our fair share of injuries lately, so depth isn't a bad thing the have.

Yup. Like some kind of Nunn/Walker for Cody Martin/PJ Washington swap or something like that.

Any asset we add to Russ is an aggravation of the sunk cost. We either trade him without picks or for a semi star with 1 pick or we let him expire. Our ceiling will always be dependent of LeBron/AD. Regardless of being Russ, Hield/Turner, Conley/Clarkson, Rozier/Hayward...the ceiling is set by LeBron/AD but never a Finals' expectation.

My guessing is that whoever we sign this next off-season, it will be a shipping asset for the next big trade we do.
We may even overpay Wiggins in a longer deal to facilitate a deal in 2/3 years trade

I don’t love his deal but I do like Rozier. I think we’d have to take him on if Charlotte wants to do a trade

Russ isn’t a bad player just a tough fit on this team.

    Yeah. I can see that.

I’d honestly like to keep Nunn though.

yes, and there may be others.

i think the lonnie thing was that being buried in la is better than being buried in SA, where they have, like, 12 guys they're developing at his position.

again, it grinds me a little that everyone thinks they know more than our general manager about basketball and the business thereof.

i don't think any move was made assuming russ was gone. schroder was great value, and THT was moving two-years of salary for expiring salary.

agree. and who knows, maybe they get lucky and something that makes more sense for them materializes. but they could also REALLY wish they did it.

when i saw that, my thoughts about russ moving changed dramatically. i knew we could count on charlotte to negotiate in good faith due to mitch, and that would have helped the market with the hardasses in indy and SA, too. just s*** luck.

the knicks falling out of the mitchell deal also changed some things for us with respect to russ, too, imo.

If Charlotte offered Rozier, Oubre and Washington for Westbrook and Gabriel (no picks), would you take it? I would take the deal and run. Even though, I like Wenyan an awful lot. He had to be added for salary matching.
