Since AD is too fragile to play Center and we don’t have one, I would see if Memphis has any interest in THT and Nunn for Aquaman. He isn’t playing at all for them and I think he could help us out defensively, plus set some mean picks and work well with LeGM in a PnR game.

If he has any game left, how is he not playing?

The easiest way to compete in sport is just to outspend the competition. We’re going to reach a point fairly soon where the clippers and golden state will have 100+ million in luxury tax on top of massive payrolls. Even if we try to follow them down that path, we’ll do stupid things like cut costs on the front office, scouting or physiotherapy side of our team.

The only way to compete with these huge payrolls is to have an edge. Examples; Phoenix had an edge with their health department and reclaiming injured players, SAS use to have the best overseas scouting department, Toronto had amazing player development. We’ve been pretty good at scouting, but our front office has wasted the majority of those assets.

And now we have people like the Rambii making highly important decisions. It’s just not feeling right.

Because the Dubbs play Draymond at small ball center and Memphis has chosen to give JJJ the Center minutes to match up.

Matchup is certainly a factor but he wasn't playing at all because he was in health and safety protocols.

Adams/Gobert type C are unplayable at C in playoffs....they're not impactful enough on offense to take advantage of gsw going small

you have to commit to using them on offense in ways you haven't all year. but remember that we almost upset the suns because phil went to kwame in the post to positive effect. committing to inferior options due to strategic advantage takes some stones, though. and we still lost.

hell, the suns haven't really been able to use ayton to great effect against dallas (except in game 1), and he's supposed to be a more useful offensive player than adams/gobert.

All the more frustrating that an offensive rebound and dagger 3 by kwame’s man that cost us.

I’ve never been a Kyrie guy. It will be interesting to see how the nets play this moving forward. I’d definitely see if there was any market for him if I were Marks

I support Kyrie's rights and how he defended them, but it does make a challenging situation for a professional team.

At the minimum, I think stuff like this has to be a topic for the next Collective Bargaining Agreement. Stars are missing time due to a myriad of issues including rest, mental healthy, etc. At what point, are you forced to do a pay for play approach if athletes are healthy but decline to play?

The perspective on that may be evolving.

Not gonna cut it. Lakers need depth and availability on their next decision. He solves neither one.
