I agree. He can play both SF and PF and has potential. He's only 20 I think.

They are also two teams poorly managed. Specially Detroit. But yes, it's odd he was dumped by two teams, most likely will not return to the league

So at this point he could miss all four games against the Knicks and Raptors, home and road.

I think they may actually be better without him. Harden and Durant are scary and it will help pushing the other guys to step up and develop chemistry

They’re pretty deep so Harden can go to the point mode too.

Don't think you can develop chemistry when you're the tale of two teams. Players will grow very tired of discussing him every single day and him getting to operate under a separate set of rules as a part time player. If they struggle at all, everyone will be looking at him as to why and rightfully so.

    1. there are home games in the playoffs, too.
    2. i guess if you play harden there, which opponents would like (he's intensely overrated as a floor general--he's a scorer who gets assists off that, not a table setter).

the idea that they'll just be fine playing irving half the time is pretty silly to me. and btw, if it works, i may stop watching basketball, as things that i like about the game will have been proven to be epiphenomenal.

i say Westbrook assist are gotten the same way as Harden but we seem to think he'll be the solution Nd Irving isnt exactly a cp3 type of pg either, he passes and sets ups less than Harden does

I know we want to keep the 15th spot open for flexibility on the buyout market later in the year, but why not just fill it with a non-guaranteed contract for now? Doesn’t seem like Ennis has many suitors right now, so I’m sure he would have accepted a camp invite or partially guaranteed contract.

I tend to agree with you, however last season he was surprisingly excellent running the point. He hardly looked for his own and set the offence very well for KD, Irving and the rest of the team.

basically something that's happening alongside of the real thing that's not the real thing. in other words, things like continuity and familiarity don't play any causal role in winning basketball, they just appear to be happening when you're winning.

we have lebron. and yes, westbrook's assists are like harden's. and irving's. i'd argue the nets don't have a real pg on the roster, and that can be exploited.

it's curious. no way he sits home all year. and i wonder if that comment was directed at us, considering that only baze and reaves are playing any wing defense for us.

admittedly did not watch much of harden in brooklyn, for obvious reasons, so you could be right. despite press coverage, i thought he always looked bad at pg even when he was putting up gaudy numbers there. those houston teams choked in part because a) he couldn't be trusted to make good decisions against good defenses and b) players were cold from being only tangentially involved in the offense (he never gave it up unless a shot was immediately forthcoming). this is an underrated aspect of pointguardery (it's a word now)--you have to know when NOT to dominate the ball, too. maybe he was better about it in bkn, but he was very bad in this way throughout his houston stint.

side note: i honestly think one reason they moved him to pg is because he refused to move with purpose off the ball, so he might as well just have it all the time.
