I would give up Kuzma before I give up Ingram.

I have a feeling Ingram is going to be having a breakout year this year. He's always been better defensively than Kuzma, and I think he'll get better as he improves his strength and conditioning. He'll take a big leap offensively, especially with Lebron on the team. Defenses will be so focused on Lebron that Ingram will have alot of easy, open opportunities.

I think it's possible as early as this year or the 2019-2020 season, Ingram would be on Paul George's level both offensively and defensively. Keeping Ingram and getting Kawhi would make Lebron the natural option as our starting power forward. Lebron's got the strength to hold his own in the block, and the speed to rim run on the fast break against whoever's guarding him.

I'm not saying I love the options, but I would still take a chance at signing him next July instead of a trade. Even with what happened with Paulina

To be fair, and I am NOT defending LeBron and I think The Decision was a ridiculous ‘look at me’ spectacle, I’m knocking Little P. BUT, LeBron was a top 2 NBA player when he did that behind only Kobe, the entire NBA was was glued to where he’d be going, it was only a one time thing, and he raised money for charity while doing it. Little P is a top 15 NBA player, he did a 3 part series on ESPN and the only people that cared were Lakers and Thunder fans, nobody else gave a crap. Again, LeBron raised charity money, Little P had himself filmed partying and smoking a cigar with Westbrook in slow motion. Little P’s was worse, screw that guy. BUT, in LeBron hate fairness, the celebration party with LeBron, Wade, and Bosh with the “this is gonna be easy”, and “not 5, not 6, not 7” was awful too, just awful.

The Spurs reporter...I wonder if he was possibly fed something by the Spurs camp in order to drive us to up the ante when we have no reason to?

I'm not really sure what to believe when it comes to the whole Kawhi situation. It seems like everyday we're hearing different things, which goes to show that all these reporters are just being fed things to report regardless if it's true or not. If Kawhi comes here this year, wonderful. If not, I'm more than happy to go to war with our young guys and try our chances in getting him next offseason.

The Lebron thing was r*******, but it wasn't a spectacle. 3 part freaking series airing on ESPN? PG took it to another level. And for who? PG? I can undestand Kobe, Durant and Lebron doing it but PG....come on.

I don’t even know what to believe anymore. Pretty sure I saw Stephen A say today that Kawhi still wants to be a Laker. Also, why would he suddenly not want to “be 2nd fiddle to LeBron”? LeBron is going to age, eventually it would become Kawhi’s team. And how would Kawhi not have known LeBron was going to be a Laker weeks ago when everyone and their mother already did? Suddenly 4 days after verbally committing to the Laker Kawhi decides he doesn’t want to play with LeBron and would rather go play with absolutely no one of note on the Clippers, even worse after they trade away any good players they DO have to get him? Uh, ok...

    :This:

Ingram offers too much versatility to just give away. I’m thinking 2019 and beyond. I’m also patient enough to wait.

    2019 small ball lineup:
    Ball
    Ingram
    Kawhi
    Kuzma
    Lebron

Yeah I am done with the Kawhi scenarios. If he comes great, if not it's ok too. My focus now is on the team currently constructed and see how they gel when the season starts.

Never imagined a day where I'd be rooting for Lebron James!!!!!

Bah we should just keep Ingram for now his 2nd year numbers were great and compared to kawhi's second year (who was 21 not 20) they look good:

    Kawhi:
    11.9pts/6reb/1.6asst .493 (total) .376(3s) 31.2 mins played 21 years old 2nd year
    Brandon:
    16.1pts/5.3reb/3.9asst .470(total) .390(3s) 33.5 mins played 20 years old 2nd year

I know it doesn't tell the whole story and Kawhi is a ferocious defender but Brandon is no slouch there and is longer by inches and has great potential in the area. He's already good. Was a better scorer and distributer too. We shouldn't stress out. Let him (Kawhi) ride out the year somewhere and go after him in the summer. Lets see Brandon mature in his 3rd year and see just how Kawhi's controversial quad injury does. Dude's a head trip anyways.

    lol at that photoshop job

but does anyone actually ever say, I "prefer" the Clippers over the Lakers? That doesn't make a lot of sense. Unless of course you hate LLLLLLebron.

You know, I can't wait 5 years down the line to have one of his teammates tell a story about this whole Kawhi ordeal. This whole issue is almost at the level of Dwightmare, if not there already. The "7 to 8 doctors" thing that Bill Simmons reported, flip flopping between playing with LeBron or solo with the Clippers, his camp hiding him from Spurs docs. It's nuts!

I won't claim to have the ability to read Kawhi's (or anyone else's) mind, but this Clippers angle smells fishy.

The premise is he doesn't want to play "second fiddle" to LeBron. Ok, but when has Kawhi ever shown the desire to be the big star hogging all the limelight? I personally couldn't tell you what the man's voice even sounds like. Now he wants to take all the spotlight for himself?

Also, LeBron is going on 34. Kawhi is 27. On Day 1, they'd be close to even in terms of caliber of player. With each passing day, you're tilting the scales more & more in Kawhi's favor in terms of quality of player. This isn't a matter of both players being in their primes, so even if this premise is correct, I still don't see an aging LeBron as the roadblock in Kawhi's mind.

Lastly, we've heard a ton about Kawhi's camp wanting him to play in LA partly because of the market, and how that could improve his shoe deal, and other business considerations. Are they really idiotic enough to think he'll score the same value from this market with the Clippers?? They can't POSSIBLY be this brain dead. Chris Paul was the best player on a Clippers team with championship aspiration and got boo'ed out of the building at Dodger Stadium. The Clips have a small fanbase and a very small percentage of NBA fans in LA (& the country) care about them.

Meanwhile, LeBron's Lakers jersey sales spiked 600% in the 3 hours after he announced he was joining the Lakers. Our fanbase is the largest in the NBA by far. This will positively impact Kawhi in all the ways he's after that have been lacking in San Antonio and would be lacking on the freaking Clippers.

I don't buy it. (But I also didn't buy PG back to the Thunder. Kawhi could also be that dumb. Who knows?)

This is what I was trying to say as well. You don’t want to play “2nd fiddle” to LeBron, but on the Lakers even if that were the case for a season or 2, on the Clippers you aren’t just playing 2nd fiddle to LeBron, you’re doing it to LeBron AND the Lakers, because no one gives a crap about the Clippers. They’d also not be in the playoff hunt after giving up whatever they have to to get him there. Lottery bound Clippers = total obscurity. I don’t buy it at all, sounds like another Spurs leak to “threaten” us into giving up more.

Amen! The one dude I trust is Woj, that dude knows crazy behind the scenes stuff. All it is, is back and forth posturing from both sides. The Spurs want as much as possible, and rightly so, but they know they won't get what they want unless they leak out some stuff like "Kawai doesn't want the go to the Lakers now because he doesn't want to be 2nd fittel", or some other thing that they think might make us jumpy and offer what they want. Most of the stuff is coming from Spurs team sources that has him not wanting to be here. But all the sources from people who get there info from players sources say other wise,Woj,SAS,ext... Where willing to wait and they know that. Why do you think no one is offering anything for him? They know what's up. He will be here this year or next, imo.

Except Woj for a week or two there, and possibly still is now, Spurs mouthpiece.
