Manny Harris would be a good add to this team.

I hope he doesn't end up needing microfracture.

Unfortunately, the Player's Association would never agree to this

Of course they wouldn't. But players have it really nice when it comes to pay during injuries. Football players would love to have that kind of security.

Well the football player union is terrible and the two sports are so different it's hard to compare.

There is an injured player exception though. If Xavier were forced to miss the entire season we could apply for it. I believe it's a minimum contract or half of the hurt player's contract, whichever is more. Xavier would still get paid, but the Lakers would have a free roster spot.

A minimum contract to the Lakers isn't a big deal. Heck, half the contract of a mid-level guy isn't a big deal to a team that prints money like the Lakers.

Mike Trudell just tweeted that Henry is available to play tonight.

He went from needing a second opinion to available? That's strange...

Apparently, from what Pincus tweeted his second opinion went well. Either way, if he doesn't play tonight, it's ok. I am more concerned about the rest of the 9 games and the toll it could take on Kobe. The more healthy, productive bodies the better...

Now we shall see, maybe as soon as tonight, who gets the back up SG minutes between him and Clark'.

Clark definitely right now would be my guess. X's shot, handles and overall game is going to be rusty as hell.

If hes available tonight... You dont think hes been low key practicing, doing private one on one sessions with his boy(s), not to mention been shooting for an "X" amount of time? (No pun lol)

Crazy, but great freaking news. Stoked to hear that X is on the mend and will be available coming up. That is superb. Hopefully he can get back into game shape with some practices. I doubt he plays tonight but who knows?

Well, Scott did mention Kobe MIGHT play 30-40 minutes. I'm not about that, if Xavier and Clarkson can come in a dispel some of those minutes, I'm all for it.

Would love to see X at backup 3 coming up since Young, Ellington and Kelly are all out. We no longer have Roscoe Smith and he was doing that duty well before he got cut.

I really doubt Byron will play Henry tonight because of limited practice, little knowledge or practice of our defensive philosophy and the fact that Clarkson is more ready at this time

^^ He might need him at backup 3 though. We don't have a single guy healthy beside him to play that position.

If Wes is matched up on D against Harden he is going to get a lot of fouls called against him. We're going to need someone in that slot. As realdeal said, we need bodies.

I like that he's available to play tonight, but I wouldn't rush him into the game. Let him play maybe 10-15 mins tonight. Maybe end of 1st, 2nd, and a little in the 4th. Just do it to get his legs under him and get him into full speed.

    Oh, and one word....Germany.
