Well, well, well....... As we usually do at this time of year it is time for the newest addition of the Whine, Moan and Complain thread. Since last season nearly every thread was essentially the WMC it will be great to have just one this season.

What's the rules? Instead of making a new thread for every angry post about whatever it is during the game or after the game or whenever you want to complain here is your thread. It is time for the draft and that awesome #2 pick. The Lakers are in build it and make it a Championship mode but we all know that fans are gonna complain about whatever pick we go with on draft night. So, it is time to dust off the old familiar 2am booty call that is WMC and get ready for a return to greatness of the Lakers.

Ladies and Gentlemen I present the WMC 2015-2016 season!

    First!

I just know Mitch is going to go after Wade hard when getting Carrol would be the best move to make us competitive right away and for the next 3-4 years

As for the draft, I don't think we could be in a better spot. No complaints there. Minny will make our pick really easy.

As for the Wade talk, I doubt it. Mitch isn't stupid.

We need "the next" instead of a one year fill in. Butler has flaws and isn't worth a max, IMO, but he hasn't reached his prime yet, so I'm all for us going after him. Not much of a whine, I know, but I'm excited for the draft and the season. kobe's last season. I plan to cherish it.

    Hmmm,

    - Byron is still our coach
    - The Draft/Free Agency is still taking too long for me to get here.
    - Nick Young is on our team.

Outside of that, I'm content presently.

My complaint: we've got to wait four more days to know which kid we're putting next to JC and Randle!

I'm not sure we're going to draft any white players, and that has me concerned.

All this talk of Rondo & Wade... Don't really want either of these guys near our young team...

I hope we take Okafor or Towns...

I will be killing a kitten if they take Porzingis.

This is a tough wait. I fear foolhardiness in free agency.

yeah, i worry about both the strategy and the execution in FA. this is one area in which management has bumbled a bit of late. definitely see the lakers wasting time on big names that will stay put, then opting for one-year deals.

We're going to sign Danny Green to a 12 million a year contract and he's gonna turn into Gump.

So, I am excited about Okafor. However, what has me concerned already is Byron shoving down 80s and 90s basketball down our throats.

Wouldn't be as concerned with Okafor/Randle with a competent coach. Now, I am frightened.

I think you're psyching yourself out man. :D

If you get a talented kid, that's 100 times harder than getting a decent coach. There's only so many kids that can change a franchise and there's plenty of competent coaches that can make you competitive. That's not to say there's a lot of GREAT coaches, but I'd say it's easier to find a coach to get a good team over the top than to acquire great talent in the NBA.

The reality is if/when we get Jahlil we have our future front court for the next 15 years. That's exciting even if we're being coached by Mike Dunleavy again.

I fear that we end up with Rondo or Wade.

Psyching myself out? Possibly. However, I know the reality. The reality is we have a promising core. We'll see how it goes and how the pieces fit.

I know Byron. I know what he'll try to do, but I'll live with it. The sooner he's gone though, the better.

I'm not delusional. Other bright bright basketball minds have the same concerns.

I'll live in the moment, be excited, but when the regular season comes, I want results. I know Mitch will do his job. Byron's another story.

If we dump the pick and Anderson is available at 27, I will be livid.
