None. Everybody is expendable and they should be especially after a 17 win season. If we can net Butler and Cousins and still have 2 max slots, you gotta deal everyone away and not think twice about it. Woould KD and LeBron think about teaming up with Butler and Cousins in LA?

Boo. No one? Just piss away the pain of the horrible finish 2 years ago and then luck with Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson, the next season even worse with then a needed tank and the good fortune with Russell (my belief ... your mileage may vary) and Nance and then this season which should have turned into a Boston like season but for Boron the a-hole still being the coach and hopefully we keep the pick. Toss all that pain and very possible lemonade made from the lemons given us away and start from scratch with more expensive players and no youth? And no guarantees on that drastic of a plan.

How about we just get rid of the obvious problem?

^Those are my exact "want back" guys too ^

Guys I can live with returning:
Lou is tradable so I can live with him.

    Guys I want gone:
    Jim -
been making excuses for 5 years
    Boron - of course
    Kelly
    - (wth is wrong with us, 2 years wasted on this guy)
Huertas - decent 3rd string pg but I want guys that play D for Russell to rub off of.
Hibbert - Just going to ask too much and even it's it's like 7-8 mil per we are going a more mobile direction I hope.

Metta - Respect. But you're done.
Swaggy - This guy is mentally like Gasol when his girlfriend left him except with 1/10 the talent. A trade would be sooooo nice.
Brown - Pass. Wesley Johnson v2
Sacre - Practice fodder. Time to move on make him a piece in a Swaggy trade.

    Keep the youngings

    Dlo
    Jc
    Nance/brown
    Randle
    Black

Everyone else I don't mind trading or just letting them go. If we do keep our pick and it's either Ingram/Simmons then I think we should keep the pick and not trade it. I've watched both guys play a lot and know that they will become special in the league.

I also like Lou off the bench
    For scoring in a pinch
    And potentially Bass
    For hustle and glass

    They could be irreplaceable
If we had a coach that was capable
    At least for the price
    They would both suffice
But with this crazy new salary cap
Some will get a contract gift wrap

There are many intelligent analytical posters here who will provide more in depth answers so i'll reply from my heart and "gut":

D'Angelo Russell: There is a SITH mentality in this one. Envy. Anger. Desire. Potential Power.
Let the hate flow through you Russ. Keep him for now.

Julius Randle: A hard worker who listens to advice and has talent. Grab your hard hat and suit up next year Julius. Every teamneeds a player like him and....

    Larry Nance Jr.:
    Precisely my perspective.

Jordan Clarkson: He has talent and strikes me as being fairly aware of the opportunity he has here. There is a level of awareness (maturity) that he has that i don't see in Russ despite it not being immediately apparent in his interviews. There is a silent...passive "it factor" he seems to possess. If someone stokes a fire within him and he trains with Kobe he might have a high ceiling.

    D'Angelo
    Nance Jr
    Randle
    Black
    Huertas (vet min 3rd string)
    Bass (not likely)

Clarkson is one I would trade if someone like Butler became available And our pick was #3:

    #3 + Clarkson + Young/Lou for Butler

I'd like to see Byron's back.

As he walks out the door.

The thread should say "Who would you not mind having back" Russell, Randle, Clarkson and Nance come to mind but on a 17 win team EVERY player is expendable for the right return. Who needs to not be back for sure is Scott, if he is, the only way to upgrade this team will be through trades, FAs will not come...

Keepers (barring a trade offer you can't refuse):
Randle, Russell, and JC in that order.

    I'd welcome back:
Lou - instant offense, will return as a 6th man candidate with Scott gone
Nance - as long as a coach knows Randle is the future of the team and Nance is the energy big off the pine
Brandon Bass - consumate professional, solid vet presence who will take whatever hand he's handed.
Roy Hibbert - if it's as Sacre's replacement as the 3rd C for the vet min. I'd welcome his veteran leadership in that role only.
Metta World Peace -wanna put on a suit and be Luke's assistant coach?
Tarik Black - Don't f*** up on this one Mitch. With a real coach, convince him he'll be properly utilized.

This. Maybe the blessing in disguise, since Bass will likely get an offer higher than Lakers are willing to pay, and Tarik is younger with upside to his game still, is that Boron jerked with him and sat him so much that he never got into any kind of sustainable rhythm this year and his value to rest of league may be lower now because of him not performing as well as certainly he could have ......under a good coach.

Russ, Randle, JC (for a reasonable price), Nance Jr, Black. That's it. Don't care if everyone else is let go, traded, replaced, whatever. We need a better backup PG, we probably need a starting SG or a backup if we plan to start JC, we need 2 SFs since I guess A Brown will be back, and we need multiple Centers.
