So much rocking (arm & body movement) going on in those pull-ups. Even a non-sports trainer such as my self knows that the form on those pullups is atrocious.

Needs to keep the arms and body as still as possible. All that body movement makes the pushup easier but your not getting a real workout on those muscles, or at least not as good as it could be.

Not impressed with his workout routines. Hopefully the Laker's trainers will change all that around.

They may see it as easy gains and makes him an even better prospect

Durant couldn't even do one 185 pound bench press. My sister who's 110 pounds and 5'1 can do one rep for god sakes. This is basketball ladies and gents. We need these guys to play basketball, not get ready for the Mr. Olympia.

this remains to be seen. there have been many players who could balance off court entertainment while still performing at a high level, unfortunately however there have been many more who could not walk this tight rope.

I think Russell getting shipped out could be a wake up call to Jordan...I still think we will see our fair share of him out on the town or gallivanting with celebs, but hey its LA and hes young and rich. Not everyone can be Kobe.

If anything led to his inconsistent play, I believe it was the confidence he lost in himself. It appeared he had a great offseason and started the regular season well only to slump not long after. This really seemed to effect him more than it should have. Heres to hopinh those struggles will only help him this year.

With typical freeway traffic Lonzo has got himself one bleeped commute every day to El Segundo from Chino Hills. I wonders iffn' he'll be getting his own place close to work or if there will be an amount of overnight accommodations at the new facility for players needing to stay over certain days due to irregular extra hours they may put in?

    https://www.google.com/maps/dir/El+...694b5006e!2m2!1d-117.7325848!2d33.9898188!3e0

Roughly 54 miles and not a straight shot. To be assured of being on time you'd need to leave an hour earlier even. Still no guarantee if a wreck or bottleneck on any of the routes any particular day.

I said in my post that I don't need him to be big, but he does himself a disservice with awful pullup form like that.

Not to mention, body weight exercises are some of the easiest ways to get stronger. I'm not asking him to lift a car, but it'd be nice if he could lift himself and a proper trainer can get him there while maintaining functionality as a basketball player.

Oddest chin-ups I'd ever seen. I just figured I was unaware of the purpose of these advanced motion type pull-ups because I'm not a big baller.

This means that with proper training, he may experience huge physical gains unprecedented "in the history of Western Civilization".

Well, now that he's with the Lakers, he'll have all of the resources to utilize with Gunnar.

To think that he's got this far without the most structured of training programs means he definitely has potential to become a better athlete than he already is.

Why don't you pay for his Uber if he has to travel or you can just chauffeur him around telling him what a "star" he is before he plays his first NBA game.

    :)

Those chin ups are Crossfit chin-ups. I call them labrum destroyers. If you expect me to take you seriously about your workout, I'm not if you do chin ups like that. Its like doing reps on the bench with you hips in the air.

    Will Cain on Lonzo Ball.

"He's gonna be the face of the Los Angeles Lakers for the next decade. Even if LeBron James signs with the Lakers.

He sees plays 20 seconds ahead. He's a leader.

He's exactly what Magic Johnson is looking for. He's the heir apparent to Magic."

Don't know about that last part, but I certaintly believe he's right about Lonzo being the leader and face of this team going forward.

Heir Apparent to Magic? Cool. 5 championships in 9 Finals appearances. He will surpass Magic, though. Lonzo is 'it'.

I doubt Lonzo ever exceeds what Magic did in the NBA and for the Lakers, but I see where Cain is coming from.

You watch the guy play and there are definite similarities to Magic.

The kid really does have an amazing and unique ability to see the floor and make plays.

Now he has to prove he can do it at the highest level and also be a capable defender, but the potential is there. There is no doubt about it.
