Yes yes yes. Exactly what we needed. Definitely more capable than Noah.

A big body to go up against guys like Aldridge. Not gonna give a ton of minutes, but between him and McGee, solid rotation.

This is a no brainer to me. We have a need for a backup 5 to play 10-15 minutes per game. Tyson gets to come home. Win/win.

I need to see some advanced stats here...need @bfc1125roy to chime in as well on this...and need LFR to break down how Chandler fits in our schemes for 10-15 minutes a night.

I do love how Chandler COMMUNICATES on defense...that's what I remember him being...an excellent communicator

Hard to think of a better pickup to fill a more pressing need, this early in the season. I’ve always liked Chandler and always felt like he belonged on the Lakers. I love this get.

Zen now on suicide watch though. This is where again would be nice to hear from trodgers or abeer on the "greater good / ethics" considerations of team sports and their fans. Lakers do better but Zen goes Gasol below? Tough choice! Then again the mantra here is Lakers first right?

What I like is that both McGee and Chandler know their offensive limitations, and you don’t see them going outside of their capabilities. They both roll to the basket and look to finish. Both play defense and rebound. Both of them stay in great shape.

I’m having a hard time finding a downside to this besides having another player was a huge nasty beard

If he clears waivers I like the pickup. We are desperate at backup C, if McGee and Chandler can split time there we don’t lose a lot when we go to our bench anymore. Yes, he is up there in age for the NBA, and no, he isn’t what he used to be, but I think he’s as good a backup C as we could have hoped for. He looked really damn solid when we played the Suns too, he put up 14 and 11 in only 14 mins.
