Was surprised that Thibs didn't have Butler or Rose run more pick and role with Chandler man in the final 5 mins because that is where Chandler isn't great on defense. He's awesome when you throw the ball down low where he can use his instincts and experience to defend at a high level like he did against Towns.

I wish I could say the same ^^ to LFR. The thought of other teams benefitting from his work scares me.

LFR is great, but his stuff he talks about isn't anything ground breaking or new to NBA teams and professionals. You hear Rondo talk to Mike Trudell after the game when Mike asked Rondo to be specific about the different actions they run. Rondo says these are basic things all teams run. It's the counters that may be different.

Walton on Chandler: "He stabilized our defense...the little defense that we played."

    :)

Kept the ball alive on the boards, covered the post well on our half court defense, got beat twice on transition.

    Dat beerd doe...

Ever since he came here I feel like this team is hyper aware of tapping out rebounds to the guards. A lot of 2nd chance possessions in the last two games.

It’s a shame we gave up those dunks to Cauley Stein, because for a 5 min sequence there, Chandler really owned him. Bagley looked pretty good on the other hand.

Chandler was once again a huge difference maker. I love his attitude. He, Rondo and even Lance are flat out fierce vet competitors and their energy changes the game. Love having him here. Now we are finally a .500 team. Hopefully more than that after tomorrow night.

That one play where he sacrificed his body for the ball before it going out of bounds was amazing for a man at his age! I love this dude's passion it's f***ing contagious!

Just read that our defensive rating with TC on the floor is 83.7!!!

The combined rebounds from the Center position for the Kings game was 22 rebounds!

I'm a little worried about McGee not finishing the last two games.

Is TC that much of a defensive upgrade?

Why are you worried? They both play their role perfectly.

I just hope this is a very consistent Tyson we get for 65 more games or so and he stays healthy.

He's been very good, but I'm concerned this won't last for some very strange reason. I really hope it does, though.

It's pretty simple really. I've seen many times at work. When you give someone a stage to excel, new responsibility, they flourish. When you limit them, even if justifiably, they often lose motivation.

McGee, for the first time in his career, was given a starting spot, and he performed very very well, perhaps in part due to the sense of pride and accomplishment.

He now still has the starting spot, but is now limited, somewhat, by a capable sub. I've known people who responded poorly to that kind of scenario.
