Sadly, you're giving up on decades of basketball :(
When Timofey is your best signing for 16mil/per, you know that the world you live in is f***ed up.
Time to find a new, 7 feet tall wife and start making babies. If one of them is tall enough, we're all set for life...

He was hurting the Warriors 2 years ago. Other than Bron, he was one of the few who showed up. He can play. Not an all star and will never live up the contract in the eyes of most, but that's the market. Get used to it. He's a solid pro who will do his job.

In for Williams and Turner... The main point is assembling a solid, complementary group to support our young core. Let them develop, not hinder it by having entitled veterans. Good with Bass. Not keen on Dudley...would prefer a faster, athletic wing than him.

We have no idea yet if that's true. There's still plenty of time left and lots of cap room. Also we should expect that he is our best signing. :D

Market and free agency being wack, does not make me feel better, when i find out how much $ these scrubs are getting paid.

To be fair, it's closer to what they're worth. Think about how much baseball players get.

Really dude? You're giving up after one signing that isn't even that bad?

Have you forgotten about that great young core we have now? Two potential superstars and at worst three other really solid players. Also Luke Walton? Remember him? The perfect coach for us.

Geez step off the ledge. We didn't lose our pick in back to back years now and we got two absolute studs in those years. We're fine.

The front office issues need to ironed out and they will. This won't continue if Jim and Jeanie are at each other's throats. Eventually they'll have to come up with some kind of solution.

I don't think Mozgov is good enough to improve our team significantly in 2017 to the point where future free agents will want to join our young core. We might improve significantly if the young kids work hard, but at most Mozgov will be a very small contributor to that improvement.

I don't think Mozgov is a big enough name to shed the perception that free agents want to come here (in fact, it's quite obviously the opposite).

I hope to be proven wrong, but I genuinely think giving Zubac the starting spot at $1 million for 82 games would've situated us better for next year's free agency.

True. But this is the year for even washouts like Bynum and that ex-Jazz, ex-Cle guy we had to cash in. The question here is slots on a roster for those guys not the availability of capital. Its all part of the CBA that came from the lockout. Did you see what they are reporting for Derozan's deal? Wow.

I used to argue that the Lakers had some of the most knowledgeable fans in the NBA..
After reading the storm of negative overreactions to the Mosgov signing, I'm starting to reconsider my position.

Lakers shored up a need & paid a fair price by the New Market Value..
They are not done signing Free Agents... I do not expect them to sign an All-Star, nor do I think that is part of the plan..

They need to fill out the roster with solid pros.. Quality guys that can run the new system & not take too much away from our young core while it develops..

Yup, us fans who are upset by this simply lack knowledge. Good point. I definitely feel better.

We'll regret it 2 months in to the season but hey, we had to sign someone. I scratched my head when we got Roy, i'll be bald after this Mozgov signing :(.

I don't believe the goal is to become a 'free agent' mecca. I think the goal is to get the best players available and build a team. Sure - we'd love to grab the Lebrons, Durants, Westbrooks, etc. of the world. That was the Jim Buss way of thinking - 'we're the Lakers...' that is not this generation's NBA and certainly being a dormat franchise for the past 3 years due to bad luck and NBA trade veto's did not help. Time to move on and move forward with the guys we drafted.....we have pieces on this team which either will be the next NBA's All-Stars and/or trade bait....CAP space is not a commodity for the Lakers because everyone has it.

Will you feel the same if we grab Parsons and/or Harrison Barnes to go with that?
