David Griffin at the present time, but I am open minded.

Reasons: well-respected, built a championship roster, familiar with LeBron/Klutch, etc

    Let's hear your thoughts!

Griffin, Myers. Bring Jerry back in some capacity and let Ryan do his job.

I wouldn't mind Jesse Buss and Ryan West running the show with Jerry overlooking them for a couple of years.

    LaVar Ball.

Just kidding. I think the sentiment is right. Jesse Buss and Ryan West have proved they are bright spots in the organization and worked hard enough to deserve a shot.

Hiring Jerry West in some capacity to mentor and guide them would be the ultimate succession plan.

I honestly think the Jerry West bridge is burned. Still hurt feelings with Jeannie over things that went on with Phil.

If the Myers rumors are true I’d back up the Brinks truck for him.

We should look at experienced guys with the Warriors or Spurs who may be ready to take that next step.

We need someone who’s ready and willing to deal with the grind of all of this.

Jeannie’s leadership style is a problem though. Sorry but the dysfunction starts at the top and she needs to look in the mirror.

I don’t know, but Jerry West is just too old for the job, I’m sorry to say.

Just someone qualified and previously successful. I don’t want Jerry West as PBO, but I do want him in the consultant/advisor role he keeps taking from other teams. If you can have West around the team, have him around to pick his brain, and most importantly, take him AWAY from other teams, you do it. But yes, it has been said Jeanie might still not want him back because of the stupid Phil drama.

    Very difficult decision.

West is too old. This requires a full job commitment with tremendous responsibility. West can only work as an advisor.

I truly have no one in mind. Please don't grab one of these turds like Billy King, Ernie Grunfeld etc...we need a high profile guy. Offer whatever money they can handle and thats about it.

Hire Phil, trade for Mitch then hire Fisher as the coach. Rambis as assistant.
Mitch signs Kemba then waves his magic wand&makes a trade for AD. Championship.

This. Think Jerry would come back to help out his son.

We are the Lakers, we need to hire the best people to fill all the positions fron the top down. We need Jeanie to pull her head out of her a** and stop hiring people on Laker name/loyalty alone, we just saw how that went. We need to upgrade the analytics and trainer departments. We need a thorough interviewing process for basketball ops, gm and head coach.

Most importantly, we need to show some sort of stability before free agency starts.

Wasn’t there a rumor awhile ago about Riley wanting to come here and bringing Spo with him?

I honestly don’t know about just bumping up Jesse and Ryan. I’d like to leave them where they are and let them continue to focus on what they are good at for the time being.

We need someone with true experience guiding the ship IMO.

We also have to stop limiting ourselves to just former Lakers players and staff.

    werd.

i'm fine with myers. i like griffin and thought he got a raw deal in cleveland. i'd kick the tires on some of the guys who have engineered upstarts, too. dude in atlanta (schlenk) seems to be off to a good start.

we need to stop pretending we're league royalty and act like we're the hawks. we're a s***ty organization that needs to get better. this kind of change needs to come from without. we don't need people sitting around bloviating about how great lakerdom is. we need someone who sees this franchise like any other--that must compete and work to succeed, as opposed to just opening up cap space or surreptitiously prompting trade demands.
