We absolutely need to lock him up, and he needs to get a chance at rotation minutes. He could be a huge help for us feeding off open looks from our other playmakers.

Kinda reminds me of 08 Machine who was one of my favorite role players of all time.

This guy needs to be not only this team this year, but also probably be in the rotation when it is all said and done.

Definitely wanted someone like Ellington before watching Svi play....

Definitely don’t need Ellington if Svi is going to shoot like this after watching him play.

Exactly. They’ve already done more in their little time here than both Jim Sucks and Mitch Crapchak combined. They can make a few mistakes imo. But honestly, I don’t think they will. They’ve proven to be very smart and strong. Could you imagine if JiMitch was still here.

To be fair, Mitch helped pull off some of the great trades in our franchise's history. Getting Pau and then later flipping Pau for Chris Paul were strokes of genius. It's not Mitch's fault that the NBA pulled one of the shadiest moves in league history and f***ed us. Of course, the game did outgrow Mitch at the end and he really didn't understand the player/relationship aspect of the job at all, but I still appreciate some of the things Mitch did for us before he fell off the deep end.

They got Pau for pennies (Kwame Brown):giggle: which was awesome and I don’t hold CP against them at all, but overall that regime was trash. Drafting, development, contracts, etc. Imo there were definitely more cons than pros.

Damn, we just landed a young Kyle Korver in the late 2nd. This draft team deserves a promotion, the last 3 years have been unbelievable.

    @LTLakerFan

You are the Summer League Soothsayer.

Will Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (this is the first and last time I will be typing out that full name) be inducted into the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame while still being an active player, or is it too early to tell?

Maan I already have my neck stuck out there with Kuz. Not going to press my luck.

But I sure as hell love me a lot of Moe and Svi and watching both of those guys Ball out there.

Can go by defenders with good handles who close out on him out of respect for his J. Able to finish at the cup.

Great night again. He's really great at being in the right spot defensively in help situations. Doesn't make a lot of mistakes on that side of the floor through the summer leagues games (5 gm) we've seen so far.

This sequence was amazing after taking a bad shot. He wanted to make that up and he certainly did on this very next possession.

We are winning these games because of Hart, Wagner, and this guy alone, really.

Svi and Deng for Kawhi. Spurs probably need to throw in a first to make it fair.

I would rather play this guy at the 3 than Melo. But off the bench? No question. We're talking already off our bench, one of Rondo/Ball, one of Hart or Lance, Svi or Lance @ 3, Kuz @ 4, and one of Wagner/McGee/Zu. Best bench in the NBA already?

Svi plays hard on both ends. Tonight when he took that bad shot, chased the ball down and got it back reminded me a bit of KCP except KCP hits a lot more bad shots then this dude.

    Svi in summer league:
    13/2/2.6/1stl in 22.8 mins
    .636 (2s)
    .429 (3s)

I've never seen Korver put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket much if at all. Svi can and has done that so far from what I've watched. Korver has that catch and shoot down to perfection. Svi has a way to go and be elite like Korver though the comparison looks apt.

    Competes defensively too.
