OK my patience is at it's end with being ignored. Where's @therealdeal? He won't do that and is always opinionated.

    :Noddingyes:

With hindsight now with Svi and the hypothetical opportunity of having not only Svi incredibly still on the board at 47 but Donte Divincenzo miraculously as well .... who would you take? I think you take Svi with his size advantage of 3 inches and pure shooting ability combined with his ball handling skills from his past and decent athleticism in his own right? If so that is just NUTS. As Zen said yesterday .... another SOTD candidate 2 years in a row?

It's almost impossible to really lean back into the drat and play that game because at the time DiVincenzo looked brilliant. If you recall though, I compared DiVincenzo to Jordan Farmar and got heat for it.

Also if you recall, I LOVED Svi pre-draft. He was one of my targets, especially in the 2nd round. I always knew he was capable of being more than a shooter, but given that as his floor he was a great high-floor candidate in the same vein as Vujacic.

If the draft were held again, Svi would be a 1st round pick without a doubt, probably in the mid-late 20s.

Thanks. Is there something that Divi does a lot better? Did you see any of his SL games? I thought he was a PG but saw him recently on one post draft info site listed as a SG.

EDIT ... I still have my first question above but went searching and see he barely played in SL due to a groin injury so no highlights on youtube really since college to compare to what Svi has been doing. But wow Divi went at 17 and we may very well have the better player with higher upside drafted at 47. Good bigger man as well over good smaller player by 3 inches and 11 pounds. Better pure shooter.

Divi is a better athlete and brings a little more dynamic play to the game (explosion on both ends), but Svi is a more skilled player.

Zen can be outrageous with his "pique" when it comes to the Lakers underperforming but you have to put up with that because Dude knows his s*** going with the Lakers' 2018 "SOTD" . We would have killed for Donte Divincenzo who was way out of our reach at 17 and now we may very well have wound up with the better player at freaking 47 in Mykhailiuk.

Heh... let us see now if he gets some playing time to showcase all the smarts and quite a bit of ability that dude has.

Besides, with Randle out, we need to have the T-Rex position occupied, do we not?

You can't really say 3" size advantage when the Divo has over 1" wing span advantage over Svi. Svi has better reach due to his height and that'll help him get his shot above people but on the other end his feet are gonna have to be real quick as well as his instincts to get in lanes and help defend. His one on one might be ok. I think of Svi as just a regular sized guard.

So goofy and yet I'm completely cracking up. Thanks TIME! Love the John Tesh NBA on NBC theme going too. And is that Luke Walton getting dominated in that clip?

During summer league I was trying hard to remember a player his shooting form reminded me of. Someone brought up Peja, and I agree, I see it. So smooth, so effortless, pretty much textbook
