See Anon .... when I was welcoming you to the site .... who were the 2 names I was telling you to watch out for. Gave it the laughing, fun emoticons (which you probably didn't see if you filter those out here foolishly) and it was meant that way too. In a fun way. Up to a point. Sorta semi-serious too.

    :Noddingyes:

Oh wait it was 3. To quote George W. .... "the axis of evil" to your particular sensitivities and fandom. Sirron, Zen and OX.

Bro this place is heaven compared to some Lakers sites I've been on. *Cough Lakers ground cough*

Everyone here is pretty chill, think of this place like a buffalo wild wings hangout, with the occasional knuckleheads saying random insensitive things. But we still like the dude lol.

inconsistent minutes. Hard to get into a groove. Also he's probably more familiar playing with the guys in South Bay then when he gets on the court with Real team.

He's getting that confidence much like Hart got when playing minutes in the G League despite struggling early on when getting a few minutes in NBA games his rookie year

Please, anyone, lets not starting calling him the new Sasha.

Probably because when he gets into a real game that isn’t already a blowout he plays hot potato with the bakrball and doesn’t take a shot. Against the Magic he looked like he wanted to be anywhere else than on the court in crunch time, his defense was horrible, and he kept passing the ball away like it had snot on it. He could be good, but right now he’s Sasha without the unearned confidence. At least Sasha would let it fly whenever, even if it was usually a brick.

I don't know, you tell me....

He sure as hell didn't brick these.

Sasha is good in my book solely because of these FTs.

Edit: You were talking about Svi missing free throws. The whole team does, so plenty of other people to point the finger at too.

not saying he's bricking FT's= Sasha, just saying Svi is bricking everything just like Sasha. I dont hate the guy, thought he'd n Huerter would be the 2 best 3pt shooters from this draft. But Svi playing scared out there.

You are right, he looks scared out there which is a bummer.

He was supposed to be the shooter that defenses cannot leave alone yet he hasn't been able to hit the ocean with a stone, if he was sitting in a boat.

Problem is also that he is supposed to be instantly "on" coming in. If Svi needs 25 mpg to get "hot" or in rhythem, then he is pretty useless because he won't get those minutes. I still think its too early to write him off. Guy has barely played. But whenever he has, he has looked tentative, which is at least concerning.

As a shooter, you have no excuse for not being able to make FTs.

we have a bad track record with shooting in the league vs expectations at draft time of late.

that said, it's way too early to render judgment on svi. this was a development year from the beginning; same for mo. if he looks like this next year, he'll be on his way to europe.

Svi is gonna be fine once he gets over his rookie jitters.

I think it is out of question that he can shoot and has a nice stroke...

But there are plenty of examples of people not recovering from "rookie jitters". Shooting requires enormous mental toughness in games. All these guys can shoot lights out in practice. But its game time where you see the difference between mentally tough guys and mental midgets. See: Sasha. Great shooter in practice, mostly garbage in games.

As everyone agrees, way too early to judge. But first signs are concerning so far.
