Stephenson is awful. He will play his way out of the rotation...

Perfect. Him and Beasly with Pope not far behind .... guys that should not be taking minutes from better young players.

Svi is going to be real good when he gets the time and more experience. He is 21. Another STOD

He looked very very composed out there. Didn't just launch the 3s, rather attacked.

    Props.

Sorry about my comment above Lance, and Weezy sending a bottle of Hennessey for you.

Much more controlled tonight and had some great reads on passes to Javale and when to drive to the rim.

I expected him to provide spacing when he was out there playing, but instead he’s been attacking the close out very effectively. Our talent in rich with talent and potential. We are well positioned with talent, depth, and reasonable contracts for a major trade.

Svi did a lot of good things tonight.

With that said I have said this many times...if his 3 ball isn't falling, its meaningless. We need a reliable 3 point shooter and he is supposed to provide that. He isn't supposed to duplicate Rondo or LeBron or Ball or anyone else. He is supposed to be the typical white guy that spots up, shoots and makes open 3s.

If he hits 3s, I will forgive all other flaws. If he isn't making 3s...well I don't care what else he does. We need reliable shooting to some degree. Its imperative.

    Racial stereotypes are ok here?

If so, I’m in the wrong place.

well, i don't think folks would be pleased with a statement like "the typical black guy who slashes and dunks". the rest of kb's statement was fine (though i disagree--i think having well-rounded players is useful): he thinks we need a spot up shooter and svi is supposed to do that. his whiteness has nothing to do with it, however. we would accept a purple spot up shooter at this point.

Hope he gets some time so we can see what he can do, but we probably need some blowouts first. Could be awhile.

    I'm white myself lol.

What I mean is that the typical Kyle Korver, Joe Ingles type of guy. In the past (before the Curry, Klay etc. era) most 3 point specialist were europeans or white guys with limited athleticism but great shooting touch. And IMO thats the stereotypical spot up shooter. Svi is supposed IMO to fill that role. He is supposed to be a specialist. Anything he gives us (slashing, passing etc.) is a bonus for me but doesn't move the needle.

Figuratively...lets say I get a job at a company as a tax consultant. I might know a lot about civil law or the local commercial law but not much about tax. Of course thats valuable but not quite what the job description suggested.

I know in the US people love to make a big deal about "white" or "black" because there is still too much racisim but in Europe at least in my area this isn't really an issue. So if you feel offended, then I'm sorry.

I know how it was meant and wasn't offended, but in public forums, we need to be mindful of those things. Believe me, I f*** up all the time in this regard.

Alot of us left or were bounced from the other Lakers site because those anus pimples were whining pieces of crap.

Don't bring the insensitive crap here. That's where I draw the line. Enough cry babies in the world, stay the eff from here. This site is perfect the way it is. And yes, we say things that might be offensive but it's in good fun.

You can love crush Mebron all you want, don't tell us how to do things. And we will still crap all over it too. Because we don't give a damn.
