This was a guy I had a strong feeling we'd get. He's a solid all-around player and one of the Top 5 shooters in this draft. I heard he absolutely crushed his workout with the Lakers.

He's been in college a long time but is only 21 years old. His short wingspan will be a little restrictive, but I expect him to be a very solid bench player for us and good depth this late in the draft.

Still working on pronouncing his name, but he is one the guys I saw play as he was on a team that gets a decent amount of tv time (same for Wagner at Michigan). I like the pick, he can shoot, he can play, it’s solid.

Oh I heard them say it on ESPN, then I rewound it, and heard it again, and again. Still working on saying it. I’m gonna have to input it into google translate and practice, or he needs a nickname immediately.

Mick? I’ve watched a bunch of highlight videos now and the announcers keep saying it Mick-Hi-Luke. Not that difficult. I’ma call him Mick or Svia.

Great tweet thread here that talks about his defense. He may not have all the tools physically but the guy is not afraid to bang around and try and out work his opponent.

Yeah I don't think it's fair to label him as a non-defender, he certainly gives effort.

Some might say... Sasha Vujacic-esque? He's going to work hard for our team.

Love him at 47 as a SG that can switch on PGs and SFs. Wingspan isn't good but he's still 6'8 at the end of the day.

Love that we also got his team mate Malik that has a chance to make the squad imo as a combo guard.

SviatoSLAV should be called Slava. In any case, great pick, welcome to the Lakers.

Not a fan but I don't know him either so can't judge.

Certainly his name sucks in terms of pronunciation.
