i see his line of thinking: remember that a pretty unremarkable 2004 pistons teams whipped shaq and kobe's a**** by basically packing the paint and doubling kobe on the perimeter (before the latter was legal, i might add...). so gs could do that and drain threes at an alarming rate on the other end, so maybe...

but jordan's bulls would have squashed them like a bug, imo. imagine a switch scheme with rodman/pippen/jordan at the middle three spots. klay would never get a shot. draymond would get punked at his own game. duran'ts iso would be neutralized. curry would need to score 60.

it would be like having lebron three years ago and a leonard/george hybrid plus rodman. there's nothing in the league right now like rodman. or pippen, really.

anyway, curry would serve himself better by just pointing to the scoreboard and being happy.

@abeer3 that depends tho. Chicago would kill them with prenutureD rules...in today's NBA tho, the dobermans would constantly get whistled at and effectively muzzled. The Pistons D is what suffocated LA...but imagine today's whistle during that Detroit series...Shaq gets his off single coverage while Kobe zone kills either drawing the whistle with illegal defense or baiting Rip/Prince into drawing a whistle.

The only way the dubs have a chance vs us or the Bulls is if it's 8 vs 5....put this soft a** dubs team with a bunch of temperamental "tough guys" against Superman/Batman or the Dobermans and they either get bullied into submission or cry for the whistle to blow so that they can hit the showers early and duck out on the massacre.

 

I remember Bucktooth Chauncey getting today's ticky tack whistles putting us in the penalty 5 minutes into each quarter, yet Kobe got the 90's habdchecking treatment from rip and tay without calls, yet his stubborn a** kept trying to force the refs to make a call, forgetting he was on trial for rape, and stern wasn't about to let him succeed.

 

people also forget how dominant shaq was in his mvp year 99-00. easily one of the greatest single seasons by a player in NBA history

Why? LOL. I know where you're coming from but Shaq just too much of a load. The only "prime" guy who wasn't prime by the time he got to play Shaq was Arvydas Sabonis who had the great size and skills, and of course prime Hakeem vs young Shaq with Orlando taking his lunch money.
