Oh man! I just heard the news. How great! That show was fantastic towards the end of its run.

This is fantastic news, trailer gave me nerd chills. The Clone Wars series never got its ending, now it will, amazing.

Am I the only one who doesn't love thar Ahsoka is back already though? Her ending in the series was the only perfect part of the way the show ended.

Have you not seen season 6 (or “The Lost Missions” as it’s called on Netflix? She was gone for an entire season. I’m pretty sure this new season is how season 7 was always (pretty much) intended to go, aside from any changes needed to fit it to Rebels and other new canon. There’s at least one rough, like story board season 7 episode out there to maybe confirm, but I can’t remember if it featured her or which storyline it was at the moment.

I watched the Season 6 stuff, but it wasn't a full season was it? I thought it was just 5 or 6 episodes... Even so, I loved the idea that the only time Ahsoka ever saw Anakin again was when it happened on Rebels.

No, season 6 is 13 episodes, and IMO it’s some fantastic stuff, so much good stuff with Yoda, and Palpatine. I don’t disagree that I thought Ahsoka never saw Anakin again until Rebels, but if Filoni is overseeing this I have faith he can make their interaction either limited or maybe add to it so it fits even better into Rebels.

Oh I had the seasons mixed up because I watched them in the chronological order last time I watched the series. I've seen Season 6. I still think Ahsoka's send off was so good though and it'll be weird to see her back in this, but I'm glad the series is getting the finale it deserved. Those Season 6 episodes are tremendous.

Possible spoilers for Episode 9 ahead, if you care to the point of not even wanting to know the announced cast.

Everybody is back, I love it. I did not want Leia being killed off in the crawl, and now Carrie Fisher gets to be in it, even if in a limited form. Still hoping for Hayden Christiansen Anakin force ghost and that they’re keeping that a mystery. But Lando is back, and that is awesome, Luke is back as a force ghost I assume, and he’ll probably be all bright and positive having re-discovered his love for the force and becoming one with it, so that should make some people happy.

That solution to Leia is certainly not what I was expecting. Could work well or could be really really awkward.

I'm looking forward to this though. I'm eager to see where they take Kylo really most of all. I sort of expect a heroic end to Rey but I want to see if they push Kylo in fresh directions. Maybe not make him a hero, but don't make him Vader either. Make him the Emperor maybe. Just all bad in the end even if we know how he got there and ws sympathize a little, make him really just go over the edge.

Good to see a certain someone returning too.

I’ve been avoiding the subject because that was the worst looking Star Wars related thing I’ve seen since the Holiday Special. Ok, maybe not that long, there were some horrible SW video games on say like, PSone especially, and the first Clone Wars movie with Ahsoka was really bad. But still, the animation is embarrassingly bad, the main character looks cheesy and lame, it looks like a show for 5 year olds. I guess Filoni is only like a producer on it not a creative and it shows, I believe instead he was/is busy with the new Clone Wars episodes.

Filoni isn't too busy with Clone Wars. He's too busy getting ready to take over all of Lucasfilm. ;)

But honestly, that cartoon looks really bad. Like you said, it looks like it's for 5 year olds.

I hope you’re right, I’ve been wanting to see that for a while now, and it seems the majority of fans have as well.

I think most people just moved on from this repetitive drivel...

Repetitive? There was nothing very repetitive about the last couple seasons of Rebels. Connections to Clone Wars dont equate to repetition.

I was referring to the movies. The animated series is the only thing I like about this franchise.
